worf77bb Posted March 7, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2020 Hello all! We are a family of 4 traveling on the Carnival Breeze on April 25th but with all this hubbub going on there are some great last minute deals. I see one that is about $400 dollars less than what we have booked on Carnival for the RCL Oasis of the Seas. Same date range and some of the same islands. What are your thoughts on rebooking this? Should we keep looking or stay where we are because we will be getting that $200 OBC. Any advise would be helpful!
zqvol Posted March 7, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2020 Without knowing CCL's cancellation policy it is difficult to answer. Does CCL give you an actual refund or credit toward a future cruise. Is a $200 price difference enough to justify the change? (Price difference - $200 OBC) Only you can answer that. IMO the decor on RCCL ships is nicer than on CCL, but I'm not sure that really matters. One more thnig to consider is the square footage in the cabin. How much larger or smaller is the RCCL cabin? It always comes down to the arithmetic. What is your existing deal? What will you have to give up on your existing deal if you cancel? What is the new deal you are looking at? Will the new deal give you as much as what you want? There is no easy formula - you have to value all aspects - including the abstract, no-cash-price: your own preferences; and then decide. Rare Essiesmom Posted March 8, 2020 #4 Share Posted March 8, 2020 You are already within final payment penalty time, so you would not be getting all of your money back if you cancel. EM
