Rare Eddie99 Posted June 11, 2021 #22280 Share Posted June 11, 2021 Very much a south coast thing so far. Poole is the most easterly. It might be difficult for them to head much further from their Brixham base as they pride themselves on local catches and extreme freshness. Their boat was in Weymouth when we went earlier in the week though.

I imagine it's not that many. A person would be VERY unlucky to test positive for COVID and then get run over by a bus within 28 days of the test!

Just asking for a friend who has a bus pass ? I'm not an expert in this field but I would advise him to avoid stepping in front of any large road vehicle. It has been statistically proven that in a collision between a pedestrian and a bus/lorry the pedestrian received more damage in the vast majority of cases. It’s completely fictional. I wonder where the idea of telling lies on this topic came from - it seems to come from the top! Thanks Harry. In short, it’s a minimal amount, so the whole ‘you can test positive then get run over by a bus and you are a Covid death’ is just a diversionary tactic. I see that new infections topped 8000 today, so the situation is going downhill rather rapidly. I just hope the right decision is made on Monday.

There was a real clamour for it, so definitely not a hindsight thing! Edited June 11, 2021 by Dermotsgirl
