The news at the moment are saying this lockdown will last at least until May 18th. Who knows, it's a waiting game that we're  all having to play whether we like it or not. I only hope the economy recovers.

Trying to do a lockdown if the floods had come now and those people having to evacuate their homes.

For their sake's and the ones trying to clean up and isolate ,lets be thankful  of this weather we have at

the moment. Small mercy's and all that .

It’s red hot here 22 and very sunny.

went to Asda this morning. Made a stupid decision to go when it’s open thinking they they will let a bunch in at once. Nope was more like 10 people.
dunno why everyone has to go shopping. Really does only take one person. Same with the couple with a dog. I don’t know.
It took me 45mins to get in from it opening. I don’t even stand in lines at Disney for that long!
got some essentials plus bbq and Ice creams at kids request. Still a few things we can’t get. No eggs today. Luckily I have a few.

No easter stuff. Bad mummy threw all the Easter things last year like the little baskets for collecting etc thinking that we wouldn’t need them as we were away and we haven’t looked before now. I’ve got a big egg but not much to find. Might hide chocolate coins or something instead.

I wanted a paddling pool but still no luck. Might resort to squirting them with the hose pipe.

keep thinking of where we should be right now.

Order a pool from Argos.

You should only order essential things. I was disgusted when the customer in front of us collected a paddling pool. Not as essential as our new BBQ. The old on had essentially rusted away.

I'm presuming this is a joke, right?

Can’t find one from Argos I like. I managed to pop the one last year.

well it’s a good job I had some flour left. Not enough to do much with and it’s plain but there would be no Easter bunny prints without it and can’t get flour in shops at all.

No Easter baskets though and no idea what they could use

Weave strips of paper together, and roll some up for the handles.

We had our BBQ/garden party today. Made a nice change. The weather was lovely and we sat out relaxing over our drinks and chatting. Our next door neighbour sat in her garden with a wine and we were talking across to her. David made her up a plate and Frank put it on a spade and passed it over the fence to her. Quite funny to see but needs must. You can socialise if you're very  careful. It just takes a bit of ingenuity. And a spade😆

eh?
they will have to use their wits. I’m off to bed when I’ve done the bunny foot prints. This is what happens when people restrict my shopping. Home bargains is great for these things but I feel I must only go to one shop a week and I can’t do a full shop there!

Been absolutely glorious here in Kent. John and I had a Belgium beer in the garden and tried not to think we should be in Belgium now! I’m telling myself it would have rained all weekend if we’d gone!
Thanks goodness for Argos online as I had to order a washing machine as mine broke, should be here Tuesday!

I think on of the better consequences of CV19 will be that when cruising eventually restarts the buffet will no longer be self-service.

Does Frank do the "steam engine" special ?  I wouldn't say no to one of these popping through the hedges .

We try to avoid it. Call it the trough. It serves it purpose as some of the embarking guest haven't eaten since the Winchester services and that was nearly 2 hours ago.

I like the buffet, although I would prefer your food to be served to you.

Seeing all the food laid out early on embarkation day blows my mind..

We are always quite happy to eat breakfast in the buffet, and not just because the MDR is normally closed by the time we are ready to eat. The food selection and quality is quite good, and amazingly we very rarely see any of bad manners and habits that so many on here refer to.

Are we just lucky or does the buffet suffer from the snobbish attitude of so many pretentious passengers?
