FCC time limit?

I thought FCC from both Celebrity cancelled cruises and Cruise w/ Confidence was good to use up thru' Dec. 2022. Is that not correct, please? I have read a few comments saying FCC is only good for one year.

Our friends had an Alaska cruise cancelled for this upcoming May .   They originally booked with previous FCC that they had to use up plus additional funds given   They are receiving the additional funds back to their credit card, but the FCC has to be used for them prior to Oct 31/2020

From the FAQ:

 

All Cruise with Confidence Future Cruise Credits must be redeemed on sailings departing on-or-before December 31, 2021.

Some of the comments you might have seen have to do with cruises NOT canceled by Celebrity and for dates NOT Falling under Cruise with Confidence. In other words, canceling a cruise later in the year with a NRD. 
 

If Celebrity applies their “normal” cancellation rules to these cruises, then yes, the FCC will have an expiration date 12-months from the cancellation date.

Thanks. I must have been thinking of the Delta Air credits which are good until May 2022. I am mostly getting refunds, but some FCC will apply. Hoping the next roll out of suspensions shows up before my May 13 cruise!

It will. The only real question is how long in advance of the cruise.

Certainly hope the coming round or rounds of cancellations happen in a bit more timely manner.  The good news is airlines have cancelled or changed most flights so if there is a change of more than 60 minutes passengers can cancel and get refunds unless that changed recently.  Hard to keep up with the changes.
