For those having FCC issued, I really wish they would honor the price we paid for the exact same cabin & sail month. The FCC of 125% isn't going to cover or come close to what I paid for my cabin.

Impossible to do since the same ship may not be doing the same itinerary next year and the cabin you are in may already be sold.

I am booked on the 8/30 Oasis. Just got an email that my Port Canaveral Excursion to Kennedy is cancelled. Kind of odd.

Not if the Casino Royale offers showing Oasis sailing out of Port Everglades was correct.

Then why not cancel my cruise? My Bahamas excursion wasn’t cancelled either

RCI is not cancelling things that far out - the next round of cancellations will likely only extend to the 100 day CDC no sail order limit of 7/24 or earlier. RCI could announce a redeployment of Oasis in which they could give you the same option as if it was cancelled. All of this assumes the Casino Royale offer listing was accurate, which I doubt.

That is odd. Why are they canceling so far out when they can't refund the people who actively canceled their on board bookings?

Right?

Here's the text of the email:

Due to changes necessary, we have cancelled some of your selections for your upcoming cruise. These cancellations are based on one of the following scenarios:

  • There has been a change to your cruise itinerary or one of the ports visited required for certain selections to be cancelled from your reservation;
  • There has been a change to the arrival and/or departure time for a specific port that required for certain selections to be cancelled from your reservation;
  • The item you reserved or purchased is no longer available;
  • The date of birth of one of the guests has been changed making the purchase no longer valid.

Special Note:

Dear Guest, We’re looking forward to welcoming you aboard Royal Caribbean. As you prepare for this exciting vacation, we need to let you know that your upcoming tour reservation Legends of Cape Canaveral (PC87) in Orlando (Port Canaveral), Florida has been canceled due to operational reasons. Here are some alternative destination excursions in Orlando (Port Canaveral) that may be of interest to you: Airboat Adventure Lone Cabbage-Style (PC06) Florida Airboat Ride and Alligator Jungle (PC44) We’ve already updated your itinerary and refunded your original form(s) of payment in the full amount. To select a new tour, we’ll need to create a new reservation for you. Please visit http://www.royalcaribbean.com/beforeyouboard/shoreExcursions.do or call us at (800)398-9819 to ensure space on your new excursion.

Why didn't they cancel the Bahamas excursion I have booked? I'm guessing they're preparing to skip FL as a destination all together, maybe a CB - BAH - CB itinerary. Just speculation of course.

The only thing possible is that Cape Canaveral isn't planning on opening by then. Still strange.

They offered you other excursions for Florida so it doesn't seem like they are planning on skipping it.

The one I saw listed NJ as well though. Technically it is supposed to go out of both ports in the Sept - Dec time frame

This is a copy of someone's July-August offer (off of the RC Casino social media group  page) and Miami only lists Symphony and Navigator, not Explorer and Allure.

Yes, there are at least two now. Laura got the first, but not the second. The second offering greatly expanded the choices, and moved dates further out

If you have a NRD there is no refund unless you make final payment and the cruise is cancelled.

With the NRD you will only get a FCC cancelling before final payment. (No penalties though)

I was hoping that if there is going to be a cancelation of our cruise, that they would make the announcement  before I have to make my final payment.

So are you saying, if RCL cancels the cruise, I can't opt for a  refund, even if they cancel it before I make final payment?

If Royal cancels the cruise before you make final then yes you would be entitled to a refund.

Royal has not yet cancelled any cruises before final payment and their SVP has stated they are working on a rolling 30 day cancellation schedule so there isn’t much chance if them cancelling before your final payment date.

RCL WILL refund whatever was paid if they cancelled the cruise as either 125% FCC or 100% reimbursement of whatever was paid, including non-refundable deposits. Your option.

If cruiser is the one who cancels, then they lose the NRD deposit and cannot claim FCC.
