Yes that the official name of the place, also known as the "Punchbowl". It is a remarkable place the mosaic maps inside the shrine are beautiful. We walked up a road that takes you to the rim of the crater where I got the Rainbow shot I started with.

And to finish this is a photo of the Memorial

Thanks Lyle.... the third photo helped the most  with picture of the building with all the pillars....   then it was google maps.... took a while.... cheers Don

I thought it would be helpful that is the Hawaii State Capital building.

And yes you could see the church from our balcony.... it was 11am with the UBB
