Riemercruisin Posted August 27, 2020 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2020 We are booked on the Miracle to Hawaii and that cruise is not showing anymore. Personally I don't believe the capacity stuff people have been posting (if indeed the ships will sail at a certain capacity, when will that percentage be disclosed and why isn't this one rule for all ships?) Anyway.... anyone heard anything about Hawaii??
arby70 Posted August 27, 2020 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2020 I saw where the Miracle was going to Hawaii, but it's leaving from San Diego.

So far our Hawaii cruise out of San Diego on the Miracle is still a go. It’s not until Feb. of 2022. Anything can still happen.

Yeah, I have to call the TA to cancel it tomorrow. I don't want to do the final payment on Sunday. I wished I had booked it with Carnival, which I think would have given me greater flexibility at this point.

N7786W Flyer Posted August 28, 2020 #8 Share Posted August 28, 2020 My Hawaii cruise out of San Francisco in September 2021 is still listed, however, I find it strange that there are no Hawaiian cruises out of Long Beach, which historically has been the most used embarkation port for cruises to Hawaii. naxer Posted August 28, 2020 #9 Share Posted August 28, 2020 Even if they're going, we're not now. 😢 We cancelled it. Looking at similar future cruises, they end up being about 30% more expensive than the one we just cancelled. It will be a while for us.
coevan Posted August 28, 2020 #10 Share Posted August 28, 2020 As of now, we are not welcome to Hawaii. A mandatory 14 quarantine is in order.
Moviela Posted August 29, 2020 #11 Share Posted August 29, 2020 No trips from Long Beach to Hawaii because there is only one berth, and it is full. San Diego and Baghdad by the Bay is the point of origin for Carnival Miracle.
StevenLucia Posted August 30, 2020 #12 Share Posted August 30, 2020 We were able to push back final payment for the Nov 28th Hawaii cruise to Oct 30th. We'll see how things go between now and then.

So instead we just switched our deposit to a San Francisco Alaska cruise in July.
StevenLucia Posted August 30, 2020 #14 Share Posted August 30, 2020 Our Hawaii cruise was a Premier through the Casino. In speaking with the casino reps they wouldn't move the deposit but did extend final payment. Just from the way the rep was talking their wasn't a lot of confidence the cruise would go anyway. That's what I was thinking. And how sucky would that be sailing across the Pacific of 5 1/2 days and have to turn around somewhere in between. Hawaii remains one of our favorite cruises. The fare wasn't bad either....1058 PP for 12 days.
