Anyone know where passports are actually processed?  I'm mailing an application to Irving, TX, and we live in Dallas (which is minutes from Irving, TX).  How is the processing timeline these days?  Weeks?  Months?

Dh mailed his to Philadelphia, as instructed, July 27th.  Received it back within 3 weeks from Tuscon!   Can't explain why it goes where it goes.  They are processing new ones immediately and also catching up on the backlog separately.

Depends where you live I think.  Seems like different sites are in different phases of COVID response.  Dallas is currently phase one:

Small world. The passport processing center in Tucson is located behind the SuperWalmart I drive by in my way to work. https://www.us-passport-service-guide.com/western-passport-center.html
