It should not be done unless the price drop is significant. But by how much does the travel agent reduce his gifted OBC in proportion to the price drop.? for example, for a price drop of $100, how much OBC will your travel agent reduce? OBC is in increments of $25. On the B2B I had one price drop of $20...and the OBC was reduced by $25. . The other leg dropped by $30....and again the obc was reduced by $25. The total drop was $55...and reduction of obc $50. So...using the TA, imho, is really pointless. I could have saved myself the same $$$ by dealing directly. cellfree Posted September 18, 2020 #77 Share Posted September 18, 2020 Banditswife, yes we feel very blessed to live in Florida now, moved from Chicago upon retirement, glad we did, although we retired to “cruise” and certainly like everyone else never saw this coming, trusting we will be on a ship before too long. Ellaleah Posted September 19, 2020 #78 Share Posted September 19, 2020 My Caribbean cruise out of Miami was for XMAS 2020 and has been canceled . I don’t see similar ones out of Miami or Ft. Lauderdale for XMAS 2022. They do have some from Tampa and Port Canaveral. Is it too early? Will they be posting those later? Any idea when? Thanks! It is too early. Relax, wait until cruising resumes and the cruise lines have schedules that are not constantly changing. For Christmas 2022 you have plenty of time. At least 18 months.
