I'm booked on the Caribbean Princess with a casino offer of Princess Plus, free grats, 500 casino play for March.

Offer was for Ocean View, but upgraded to balcony.  100 pp.
I'm still holding out hope this happens, but haven't pulled the trigger on airfare yet.

We had the same offer, but we chose to go out of Los Angeles port, so no flying, just in case.  We pad $225 pp to upgrade to balcony.

Update time--We were booked on the earlier Casino offer with Balcony, Premium package and Casino Cash. I had wondered about taking with the cruise before or after to make a total of 14 days. Within the last week I got two offers; one for Washington residents and one for the casino cruise mentioned here. I called and was able to get the same cabin for the B2B cruises with the new Casino credit. I did have to pay for the upgrade to balcony and the Premium package for the second cruise but still a bargain. I checked with usual TA and he told me that since I paid for an upgrade he would be able to take over booking. Sounds like winner to me!!  Now if we can only sail 🙂

Just waiting to see how long it takes for someone to chime in and say they received an offer without even stepping into the casino.

I received and used a casino offer a couple of years ago. I only stepped into the casino once, and that was for a slot tournament.  Have not gotten anymore casino offers since.

Got the $1k and free balcony offer both times...without stepping much out of the casino.   Oh...hmm!

Be safe. Paul

Hi,

I received the free balcony offer via postcard from Princess. It had multiple destinations listed on the front side. I called princess and asked which cruises were included in the offer and they directed me to login to the website and click on casino offers.  I have been looking on the princess.com website and cannot find any such link. Is there another website for Princess Casino?  Thanks for any information out there.

the only way to see the cruises is if they send you an email and then you click on the cruises.  The cruises are normally, the 5, 7 or 10 night cruises.  I tried to use an offer on a 14 night Alaska cruise, just using the free casino play, but the answer was no.

You need to call the casino number listed on the postcard and talk to the representative.

Thanks for the info. I sent an email requesting a list of sailings. Unfortunately, you cannot get into the cruise personalizer if you do not have a booked cruise.

Will probably look for a sailing around Sept 2021, hoping virus situation has settled down.

All you need to do is log in.  I did notice that you don’t see the free rates.  You can see your offers though.

I can't see the casino cruises when I just log in.  I have to be logged in and then click on the "View Applicable Cruises" link from the casino email.  When I do that I can see a new tab on the cruise search screen and the casino cruises are there.  I can by the way see the free play associated with the offer listed under the OBC from other promotions or FCDs when viewing my profile.

  • 3 months later...

I only get offers for 30-35% off list prices and casino free play offers of $250-$400.

I am a Platinum member on Princess and take a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean once a year and usually spend 2-3 hours in the casino every night at the craps table with $15-$30 bets with pass line and come line with odds.

Can I assume people getting offers for free cruises either cruise a lot more or gamble a lot more?

We cruise often and play in the casino daily but usually lower bets in the slots We usually only get offered free interior comps, once or twice have been offered a window or a balcony.

We cruise 2-3 times a year about 20-30 days and always spend 3-5 hours in the casino each day. We get offers for free balconies yearly and usually get free play of  $250 -$800 per cruise

DW plays in the casino on cruises - probably spends around $400 on a 7 day cruise. We booked the 12 day British Isles for June 2022 last week. She got 35% off + $300 free casino play. We also booked the package to get tips/drinks/wifi and specialty dining. Gotta admit its a good deal.

It may also be how you pay or buy chips.

They need to track ypur spend so they can give you offers.

perhaps someone else who plays tables can offer some insight

I dont play often so I might be mis-remembering this, but can't you insert your card at the table when you play?

You give your card to the dealer or pit boss at the table. The will return it and track your play

Past comments on other threads basically indicate that nobody on Cruise Critic knows how people are selected for the offers.

Some who received them do gamble a good amount. Others say they spend very little time (and money) in the casino but do get the offers.

We have gotten offers in two different ways.  We get the offers mailed to us, with a brochure and they have either free cabins, or discounts and then a money amount for gambling.

the second offer is given to us at the end of the cruise, usually the day before the end.  We get a letter that gives us a free cabin and money amount for gambling - but you have 45 days to book your cruise with this letter code.
