FCC Question

Hey peeps

 

Ok, so I get on the Princess site to check out what's on offer for next year. 

Found the 10day Sea of Cortez on Grand Princess for 5Dec.

 

Did a dummy booking, and it won't let me have the deposit option. My fare got adjusted from my FCC, and it's either pay now or "Hold without payment til Sep 6 2021."

 

Hold without payment? Doesn't sound right (or am I not really understanding things tonite LOL)

Does that mean holding it is "booking and not paying for it til next year" ??

That does sound like since you put down your FCC as deposit you won't need to pay the balance until 6 Sep 21

Sep 6 looks like 90 days before embarkation which is usually the final payment date.

 

So you have put down your deposit (via the FCC) and just need to pay the remainder by the final payment date.

Oh, ok ... 

 

It's starting to make sense now.

 

My FCC from the cancelled Sky Princess Nov2020 is the deposit. And if I want to book that Mexico trip, I'm technically booked.

Sounds easy.

Well that sounds ok IF you really do want to book BUT

if you were just looking, and decided not to go, I dont

know how it would be dealt with, as it would then

be considered a cancellation.

Hmm. It sounds like you booked it with your fcc already

We are on that cruise and hope we finally get to go after all the previous cancelations

Oh, no ... most definetely not.

I'm extra careful at not clicking buttons, and didn't touch "book now" or "hold".  😱

So I'm not going.   😭

 

My FCC is still out there, and waiting to be used.

(But have to admit, that itinerary looks pretty nice ... )
