What a great shot and a comment on what 2020 has been.

Mark Fitzpatrick's Terry the Turtle flipping the bird image, taken off Lady Elliott Island on the Great Barrier Reef, won the award. Source SMH.

I agreed.....  and the turtle captured the essence of 2020.....  he even looks grumpy

 

But you must wonder with the ease of photoshop....

if some people create or capture the photo...... not like the days of film....

Not sure why you would think it is photo shopped, it is not like the turtle has a finger let alone having it in a forward position to give the bird, just a pic that is interpreted by suggestion.

Sorry Mic I was not trying to infer that this photo was photoshopped

 

But the point was a lot of photos you see on the net... look to good... or some thing unbelievable...

So when one does take a remarkable  photo.... there is the thought   is it real... unlike the days of film where it would not be questioned...

True, many have and must be given some doubt but with this one, I have seen turtles in very similar positions and the flipper does seem to point up when turning.

I remember a website that said one way to know if a photo has been tricked up is to look at the light and shadows. Apparently that is hard to match when photoshoping
