Visible are three Carnivals -and what looks like two RCLs? Yes, from left to right it's Monarch, Sovereign, Carnival Inspiration, Carnival Fantasy, and Carnival Imagination. However, this picture is dated. The last picture I saw had the Sovereign almost completely demolished with only a small portion of her stern remaining. Also, the Fantasy is now dismantled all the way back to her funnel. Garnett
N7786W Flyer Posted January 10, 2021 #27 Share Posted January 10, 2021 The below link hopefully will take you to a short video showing the scrapping of these ships as of 1/6/21. https://www.*****/shipbreaking/permalink/10160209429543943/ Garnett

It's on a "the Book of Faces" page called "Ship Breaking". You'll have to scroll down a ways, but it's there. The page is open to the public, so you should be able to get in. Relative to the invalid link, did you put the ".com" suffix to the 'book of faces' when copying the link? Amazing pics of all the equipment they salvage and have stored in warehouses, to be used again!

Aplmac Posted January 15, 2021 #33 Share Posted January 15, 2021 On the subject of Scrapping For Survival I found this interesting and realistic article re. Carnival's priorities -and which ship/s get the chop, next. https://www.cruisehive.com/carnival-releases-big-update-more-ships-being-offloaded/45629 The article is accompanied by a somewhat distressing photo of Carnival Fascination in poor shape, re. hull paint.. YXU AC*SE Posted January 16, 2021 #34 Share Posted January 16, 2021 Carnival Fascination (the only Carnival vessel I have been on) will become an hotel ship, Century Harmony, and is in transit to Singapore now. Scott.

toad455 Posted January 19, 2021 #36 Share Posted January 19, 2021 Fascination looks terribly rusty. Hope whoever owns her now makes her look all pretty again.
JTBCruiser Posted January 23, 2021 #37 Share Posted January 23, 2021 DW and my first ever cruise in 1991. At the time we thought the ship was huge. Had a great time sailing on her. Sad to see this being scrapped but each of us have our own time when we will sail no more.
