We have been on board and softly rolled in bed deck 6 aft at night but very noticeable . The same storm walking by the spa you looked like a very drunk sailor ,you could not walk a straight line. The ocean moves so does the qm2 . Deck 6 aft outside pool looked like you could surf it. At no time did we get sick or feel unsafe though. This was not a hurricane just a storm .

The motion is one of the pluses of sailing - I’ve never had too much on a cruise ship (unlike what goes down on a destroyer escort).  The most noticeable on a cruise ship was on HAL’s Noordam in January 2007 from New York to the Caribbean - I had a port side cabin (outside) on lowest passenger deck, just aft of the theatre - when I woke up the first morning it was great watching the solid green sea water repeatedly surging over my window.

I once did a transatlantic on Queen Victoria, in January! Not sure whether it was a hurricane, since the bridge did not release more information, but at least it was a heavy storm which went on day and night. QM2 can do much better, she is made for it.

Talk about a crap shoot...the north Atlantic is one of the most active oceans on the planet..I've sailed in Nov & it was like a pond ....in the summer & late August we hit a hurricane...OMG.

QM2 may be big but the strength of the Atlantic is stronger/bigger. I always book a midship cabin(I even turned down a Queens Grill cabin because of its location). Its luck of the draw.
