It's been so long since Carnival cruised,

Recommended Posts

Good to know. Thanks. As I don't drink sugar enhanced sodas, I really don't know, except that drinking lots of cokes, or pepsi, or r.c. cola, or dp, mountain dew, etc, etc, etc ad nauseum is really, really bad for you. Did you ever put a piece of raw meat in a glass of coke? Yuuucchhhhh.

Even Coke isn't Coke. Mexican Coke is real Coke. I wish they'd bring back real soda that is made with sugar.

You're right! The coke now days is made with high fructose syrup. I wonder if that Mexican 7-11 just across the street from Puerta Maya in Cozumel has real coke?

@opshannon is correct. Pepsi has 41 grams of sugar per can, Coke has 33 grams of sugar per can. Much more sugar in Pepsi.

Wow.  If I am ever going to splurge and put that much sugar into my body, it is going to be in the form of an ice cream sundae with whipped cream and a cherry on top!

I like tea better than soda, but when I do drink soda it's diet.

When we did our 1st Barbados land vacation in 1987, we saw old time Coke in bottles produced at a plant on the island.

Since then we both stopped drinking soda of any kind, just healthier for us.

I won't get into the argument that just like folks on public assistance or drug addicts need to show personal responsibility, that diabetics, the obese and others with health issues should be responsible and shun soda.

JMO, YMMV.

"It's been so long since Carnival cruised," I miss muster drill.

Me too! That means I would of had a couple of buckets of beer in the sun and checked out the slot machines in the casino by then! LOL

We would have unpacked our carry-ons in our room (if we had FTTF), had some lunch, and explored the ship by the time of the muster drill.   Oh, how I can't wait to cruise again!

Not quite right.  Coke is 39 and Pepsi is 42, the difference is negligible.  but Coke has more sodium.  Pepsi is more fizzy, also slightly citrusy tasting - while Coke is more syrupy, Vanilla tasting.    what has more sugar coke or pepsi - Google Search

OK, don't trust the Internet.  It so happens my daughter has cans of both in the fridge and she yelled up: "Pepsi 41, Coke 42!"  Check YOUR cans.  Her cans also show Coke has more sodium, 40mg to 30mg.

Yes miss the old muster drills on the older ships, having to stand outside in the heat,

instead of inside in the air condition lol.

Thankfully, the last few years I have cruised, we have been able to have the muster drill inside.

Thanks for the reminder of another reason not to sail on Carnival Cruise Line.

At least some competitors offer Coca Cola products.

Interesting, Carnival carrying Pepsi products is a strong point in my book, but not enough to sway me away from sticking with RCI and Celebrity
