@AnhaltER1960 The vinegar estate is a place that sounds unappealing to me also but past cruisers have described it in very good words, apparently it is much better than it sounds.

 

Agree with Rüdesheim, seen it, had lunch there, packed at the weekend. Try and get to Niederwald-Denkmal for the huge statue and amazing view. If you have the stamina, hike over and down to Assmannshausen, a more "sophisticated" village and quieter.

I never knew there were so many different kinds of vinegar.  My favorites were the cherry and the fig.

I can’t believe I forgot this. In Speyer, consider the Technical Museum - https://speyer.technik-museum.de/en/. It was an easy walk from where we docked.

We too enjoyed this museum. We walked there after Uniworld's guided city walk.
