I didn’t realize they were doing that. Very cool.  I thought it was weird to bring the maradi gras into port when horizon was going out (watching on ptz)

It was a surprise for the passengers. No one knew!  Mardi Gras was in Fort Lauderdale earlier and people were asking why as her home port is Canaveral. THIS IS WHY!

By the way, anyone know if the port side view out of Miami gets crowded on the Horizon on departure?  I’m looking forward to videoing South Beach on the sail away when we go.

Do they have any indication on your card to say you’ve been vaccinated? Or how are they knowing the 5% that have to wear the masks?

From watching onboard live videos it looks like they're not enforcing any rule for masks once on board.  The recommendation John Heald made is to rip your mask off as soon as you board and yell "Yipppeeee!" and lots of people were doing that on Horizon today.

They stated on their YouTube vlog that they had a 10:30 check in. There was no priority boarding.

They don't need to because masks aren't required for unvaccinated except in places like the arcade or spa.

Apparently they have determined with the extra protocols the unvaxxed have to go through, they are safe enough not to worry or be singled out.

Yes SAS.  Very impressed.  Driver actually contacted us an hour early to see if we were ready.  Heck ya we were!   Large comfy van.  Highly recommend
