I’ll see if they provide the fun times the night before.  It’s a cruise ritual for me as well, to get the schedule the night before and plan my day.  Quite frankly, I’ve been lost today until we picked one up.  I have cruise FOMO - fear of missing out 😆

Yes finding the next day's schedule in your room the night before allows you the wonderful time you can spend looking it over and finding what you want to do the next day. I also check out when all the trivia contests will be. I have to get me some more of those ships on a stick.😁

Love eating breakfast in Ocean Plaza!  Grabbed lunch there too many times.

We were casino people until being on the Vista.  Horrible plan having to walk through to get to the back plus the open to the floor above.  When we tried to play there were many just standing near just smoking plus had trouble finding a machine because people were just sitting at the machines.  We didn’t even go at all on our Horizon B2B.  On the Pride in November so will be depositing all my saved up slot $s🤑

Good luck. At least initially the Fun Times aren't being distributed to cabin. You need to look at the app, or pick up the equivalent of the tear off sheet at Guest Services.

Do you know if you can pick one up in the evening for the next day or do you have to wait until the day of?

You are supposed to be able to get one the evening before. Not sure what time, yet.

Thanks!  That's a start.  We don't sail until next October, so some things might change by then, but at least it gives me a starting point!   It would be nice to be something you could ask your steward to leave when they do your turn down.

I agree, but on the app, you can look ahead for the rest of the cruise.

Maybe also to stop players from interrupting their cash flow when they get up to get a drink.  Anyway, so glad to hear breathing is bearable on the non-smoking side.  I wish this would be rolled out on the Pride before September 12!

The smokers socialize and drink instead of gambling.  The bar was also replaced on the Vista.  There is another thread about it with all the smokers up in arms.

Up in arms, but apparently not as much "in arms" :

Disclosure: Not a smoker, but it doesn't bother me. I cruise with one.

When we sailed on Vista, we immediately could tell that they couldn't keep the smoke in the casino. We never noticed it on any other ship class of theirs. It was surely an engineering or design problem. Much of the problem may have been the bar open to the floor above. The moving/removing of the casino bars may have been in the plans for some time.

The bar was removed on both the Vista and the Horizon.  I guess we'll find out about the Panorama once she starts up.

Clemson Cruiser thanks for all the info.

We really enjoy being seated with others in the MDR and getting to know our tablemates during the cruise. Are they seating cruisers from different cabins together or are they keeping you separated?

I'm sorry to hear the smokers are up in arms.  The idea is not to insult them, but to prevent their irresponsible self-harm from also hurting others.  Imagine how much lower health insurance rates could be for everyone if nobody smoked.

They may have been priority.. Diamond/Platinum  I was told today we should have Priority etc on our boarding passes for August. That means they didnt need an appointment  time to check-in etc

Sailingships: would you start a separate thread on this subject? VERY interested

This boarding was different than boarding going forward. Remember they didnt have 3k people getting off the ship nor did they have to clean and sanitize behind them. Next boarding will be a lot more telling.

I think we here on CC are big on our Fun Times but I think surprisingly, the majority of cruisers don't pay that much attention to it.  They were looking at ending the printed schedules before the pandemic.

I’m a little late to this party, but I am really enjoying reading everyone’s comments!  Thank you Clemson Cruiser for doing this!  My hubby and I are going out onThe Horizon in August. This will be our first time leaving somewhere other than SoCal. We watched, yesterday, as The Horizon left port.

I thought that part of the reason for the assigned boarding times was to keep the terminal from getting crowded?  I watched a video today and they said that it took them 2 hours to get through the line onto the ship because a lot of people ignored their boarding times and came early and Carnival didn’t want them to have to stand out in the sun so they let them in. Then the arrivals who did come at their assigned times had to wait outside because the lines inside were so long.
