We made it on!!! My first report…..They were not holding people to their check in times. Ship does not seem crowded at all. The crew started onboard 1 month ago. Gotta go eat!!

Wonderful! I can't wait until Saturday to board a ship.

If you have opportunity to post MDR menus, I'd love to see them! Maybe screenshots from the Hub app would work?

No more casino bar

What? Why?  Not that I actually sat there much but where does one get drinks if no servers show up? I’ve sat for 20 minutes with no service before. I never use cheers but still drink a fair amount when in the casino.  Just curious.

You are at the mercy of getting your drinks from the bar staff.

not 💯 sure why they got rid of the casino bar. Maybe to cut down on the smoke.  It’s actually much more bearable on the non smoking side

Maybe also to stop players from interrupting their cash flow when they get up to get a drink.  Anyway, so glad to hear breathing is bearable on the non-smoking side.  I wish this would be rolled out on the Pride before September 12!

I think it was to keep people from crowding and not distancing. As well as keeping the non players who are just sitting around smoking and not drinking

I wonder if they'll set up a smoking bar somewhere else.  Lots of studies show cross-addiction of nicotine and alcohol and Carnival would likely not want to lose that revenue.  Also a cross-addiction of nicotine and gambling...

Interesting - I didn't know that.

One decade, Carnival (and others) will come around for US sailings !!

Ah, the Carnival Paradise, the original Non-Smoking cruise ship. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnival_Paradise - Carnival launched it to much fan-fare, however ended up discontinuing the non-smoking policy in late 2003 because they couldn't fill the ship with all non-smoking passengers. When it arrived to CA in 2004, they painted over the huge No-Smoking emblems on the sides of the ship.
