Happy 4th My Fellow Cruisers!

Has anyone been able to locate the price for the Thermal Suite Pass on the Nieuw Statendam for November? I've called and they have no idea what I am referring to. On previous Caribbean weekly sailings we have paid $299 per couple for the week.

The pricing just appeared on my check in and Navigator App  few days ago. I believe the $299 price is per couple. But to be truthful I would wait to purchase on board. In the past the pre cruise on board price was often higher than what you would pay on board. Once you open this it does state it’s for 7 day pass.

It used to be cheaper to buy it onboard on embarkation day but reports pre- covid were that the pre purchase price was cheaper if bought on line.

We bought it back when it was cheaper on embarkation day and I did see the Spa staff honour the rate for those that had pre-purchased and they were issued OBC for the difference.  I think it was $25-35 at the time but this was on a longer sailing.

Thanks very much for your reply & info. Will wait and see when we get to our online check-in & go from there. It has never been more onboard than we paid online. If so they would refund & recharge.

Yes, our last cruise in December 2019 it was cheaper online than it was on embarkation day. I can’t remember how much exactly but it was enough that it caught my husband’s attention.

For my Nieuw Amsterdam November cruise, I found it in Already Booked -> Manage My Bookings. Look under Cruise Activities -> Spa -> Relaxation Areas. It is $169 pp or $299 per couple for 7 days

I used to always book on embarkation day too, but I might book ahead if they are selling out, I don't think I've ever heard of it selling out, but I don't normally do 7 days either, maybe that's why.

+1

On our October 2019 14 night cruise the rate was cheaper online pre-cruise than onboard.  I also do not remember the amounts.

I recall learning on here that the rate was cheaper online and some folks mentioning that if the rate ended up being cheaper on board that you could get a refund for the difference if you already bought online.

Of course all this info is before the "recent unpleasantness" so will be curious to hear from fellow mariners once the ships sail......

Coincidentally I just booked Nov 28 on the NS. Checked the relaxation area & still not available. Will keep an eye & update what I learn for everyone.

  • 3 weeks later...

My question has to do with the amount of time you can use it. Along with the price quote it says 15 minutes. 15 minutes total, 15 minutes in the water, or 15 minutes on a lounge chair?  That is a lot of money to spend for 15 minutes a day.  We would hardly get there before it would be time to leave!

My guess is that time is just a placeholder and there won't be a limit (unless the place gets crowded and you've already been there for a while).  I did the pass when I last did this cruise 6 years ago and there was no time limit as to how long you could spend enjoying the spa.

Can someone who is on one of the upcoming cruises please let us know if they have any embarkation day deals for the spa pass?  I remember getting one when I did this cruise 6 years ago and wanted to see if it's better to buy the pass now or wait until we're onboard because my fiancé wants to get the pass.  Thanks!

We have two 7 night B2B cruises coming up in late November/early December on Koningsdam.  The 7 night Couples Pass is $299.  Does anyone know if they give a discount for the pass if we were to try to purchase a 14 day pass once on board our first sailing?

TIA!😊

Thanks for the explanation. Glad to know we won’t get the boot after 15 minutes.

The chair hogs do sometimes frequent the heated lounge chairs but it seems easier to move their towels and stuff and then quickly lounge and start snoring.......LOL

I noticed that the reservation times are in 15 minute increments. Does that mean you only get 15 minutes a day?

You need to scroll up and reread the thread. That question was essentially asked, and answered to the best of the poster's ability.

I hope you get an answer on this as I have the same question. Even though we are on a b2b 12/4-18/21 the only option I saw was for 7 days. We would like to do this but not at $299 twice.

I advance purchased (last week) the couples pass for the N Amsterdam for our upcoming 9/25 sailing and it was $219. On my last N Amsterdam sailing (3/7/2020) I booked on embarkation day and paid $299 for the couples pass.

Since I am on a 14 day cruise (b2b 7 day cruises) I am waiting until HAL starts that kind of cruise. I am hoping once they do I can get a clearer idea of the price for a longer cruise. But sounds like you got a good price.

Part of my confusion is when I tried to book for our 12/4/21

cruise only one time slot shows and it is 12:30 pm which for us would be a lousy time slot. I can’t believe it is so close to being sold out that only one time slot shows. Are you held to a time slot or can you go whenever you want to as long as you have purchased a pass?
