Not sure any of those would make a difference. We’re Platinum, and early dining and have been given 3pm. Our travelling companions are Cunard newbies and have been given 2.45pm.

We're Platinum @ 14:00 - Jane's Dad is Gold and his check-in is 13:15 - We're deck 4 and they are Deck 5 so maybe that's part of it

We are Platinum, deck 6 and have a check in time of 2-30pm so no logical reasoning.

Perhaps they are trying to board pax on different decks/areas at times that will give a good flow, without overcrowding and keep the practice of distancing.
