Boarding time question

Our sailing is August 28 and I got our embarkation time yesterday, 11 am, we sail at 9 pm, so I really like that early slot. More time to explore the ship!

We got our late September Naples embarkation time yesterday, as well. 1:30pm...the ship doesn't arrive into port until 1pm, so seems rather optimistic, but I'll take it! 😄

Booked a B2B starting Aug 2 on Mera. Initially were assigned 130pm check in.

 Just got a text and email saying our time had been changed to 1115. Bonus for us. I always like getting on as early as possible. I hope people respect the time slots to avoid major log jamming, however i doubt they will.

I wasn't seeing it at first.  Says we can't get tickets until 20 days.  Time was on main page after login.

We had a nice round number for our check-in time. Until our cabine was assigned. Now it’s delayed to a time like 12:07. Seems quite specific 🤨

I’m pleased to see our time has moved forwards from 3pm to 1pm. Now it’s moved to an earlier time I assume we’re not likely to see it move back to the later time are we? That would be irritating!

 

Bearing in mind we cruise in 16 days should I expect this to be the final time or is it possible/likely it will change again?

My boarding paperwork shows check-in opens at 11am and check-in closes 1 hour later. Assume I can show up anytime in this window?

Just got our time for a late October cruise on Meraviglia.  11am.

Our boarding time for Saturday's Virtuosa cruise was 12.20. Just checked the app and today it has changed to 11am. No email notification, I just happened to check the app.

Yes, that’s what I understood between 11-12.

Thanks.....no tickets but after logging and looking at the main page I got an 11:00 embarkation time. 😀

Hi,

I'm wondering why 11:00 can be such a common embarkation time. It is mentioned quite often and much less than 12:00, 13:00, 14:00 etc. Would not be a surprise for me if 11:00 is currently just a placeholder. All my upcoming cruises got 11:00 in the very same moment displayed on MSC internet-site. Maybe it will be changed on short/no notice anytime until embarkation. Watch carefully and regularyly your data. Hopefully I'm wrong, but my trust level on MSC IT and org isn't very high.

 

And I have concerns about this embarkation window thing. I expect to be allowed to embark even when I arrive later than   1 hour after appointed embarkation time.

Interesting. I will remember to look for my time as early as possible if they still have enforced check in times next summer. If it shows 11:00 I will immediately print it. Even if the time is later changed they will probably check me in at 11:00 If I show them the paper.
