Tablet and wi-fi

For a person with not much computer knowledge, if my with takes

her tablet to read and play games does she need wi-fi?

Didn't know if I needed to buy.

As long as the books and games are already installed (downloaded) on the tablet she will be able to read and play without wi-fi.

An easy test is to see if you can put the device in "airplane" mode and still continue to play the games she normally does.  Some games do require wifi, as my son's nightly foretnite tournaments can attest.  But generally, most games for older folks do not need wifi 🙂

Mame sure she downloads the hub app before the cruise. She needs wifi to do that.

That's not necessary to read a book or play a game that's already on the tablet.
