MGM Rewards: What do I need to bring with me?

Recommended Posts

So, I looked into getting MGM Rewards status using my Crown & Anchor status.

Everything online says, "stop by the MLife Rewards desk when you arrive at the property"

Well, I'm finally going to be near an MGM property soon and figured I'll "stop by"

What do I need besides by C&A number?     Must I be staying at the hotel or playing at the casino?  I plan to pop in pulling a suit case on my way from the airport, fill out the forms and then head off to the hotel where I actually booked.

Is that an issue?

When I did it, I gave them my C&A number, and they were able to look up my status and give me the card.

If you get your MGM Status based on your C&A status, you cannot use your MGM status for benefits with RCI.

Strange...I am diamond plus and premire on RCCL....when I showed the Host desk at the MGM property, they gave me a card.....but it was the same card I had gotten with my drivers liscense alone. I got no perk whatever....

The entry level Mlife card is a blueish color. As Diamond Plus you should have recived a platinum colored card. It’s the highest you can get outside of Noir which is for whales/invite only. I’ve been using my status to be Gold on Mlife for three years now. Always get comped rooms + dining credit + freeplay. I get far more monetary benefit with reciprocal MGM Gold Status than my Diamond benefits.

I’ve had about $750 in freeplay. $500 in dining credits and several thousand in comped rooms in the last year(five trips)s It’s not because of my play either as I wouldn’t even crack Ivory with play.

I think it depends on the Mlife property. I was at the Gold Strike in Tunica

They can make mistakes. We renewed our platinum M-Life card at the Mirage. As we were walking away, we noticed that they had given us the wrong card. We got it corrected immediately and walked away with Platinum cards.

Oh weird...  I looked online and it said everyone from Emerald up to P Club all got gold.

Did it change?  what's the new equivalent?

I hope it hasn't changed.  I called Mlife a couple months ago with our C&A numbers and we got instant Platinum status (for Pinn). DH had all kinds of offers and took them up on four complimentary nights at Bellagio - my favorite - plus free play and resort credit. My offers were not as good but I don't gamble much at all.

For those that are D+ and get a Platinum card from MGM, Caesars properties will do a tier match to Diamond from the MGM status. I have done this though I have not gotten a lot of benefits from the MGM status, really not much of a gambler, I have gotten comped rooms from the Caesars card and an annual one time use of a $100 food credit.
