Australia, New Zealand Christmas 2021

Given Oz's and NZ ongoing border closure what is silver sea planning regarding the Silver Muse itineraries at Christmas?

This is the plight of all the cruise lines

Most have cruises December through March going to OZ and NZ

I am not sure where they can all find berths!

I see that Silversea still has the Australia/New Zealand Muse cruise listed on their website. We have the Holiday cruise booked with the probably misguided hope it can sail. However when I booked I was told the sailing would be only for Australian & New Zealand vaccinated passengers. Which works for me as I am in Australia.

 

I contacted my Silversea agent last week and was told that they are still hoping the Australian cruise ban will be lifted for Domestic travellers after 17 September, 2021 but they are looking to change the itinerary to just be sailing in Australian waters as New Zealand government has said they won't lift the cruise ban till the third quarter of 2022.

Thank you for this information as we've been starting to research Australia - New Zealand cruises.  We may have to wait till 2023 due to some family plans for late 2022.
