Live- Adventure of the Seas July 31, 2021

Recommended Posts

I enjoyed the July 17th live trip report so much that I’m going to attempt it.

We came in on Thursday and spent a two day pre-vacation at Atlantis Bahamas. I don’t think I could spend a week there, but we enjoyed the two days.

Our room was half way up on right.

And of course I enjoyed some of the local beer. Kuh lick.

Today we went to the Colonial Hilton at 1130. Our check in time was 12 noon. At exactly 12 noon, we walked up steps to second floor. Got asked to show documents three times. Took our picture.  We were done that by 1215. Given a sticker then back down steps to wait for shuttle. We carried on our luggage and I was a little worried about that. But all was good, they stacked out carry-ons on a seat. Waited a couple of mins for shuttle to fill. Then they bussed us over.

Walked by the Celebrity Equinox and Crystal Serenity.

Then boarded Adventure. Third ship docked.

Took this pic at 1235. Quickest we have ever gotten on a boat.

I was one of the "culprits" of that July 17th live review (along with @HBCcruiser). Glad you enjoyed it and glad we inspired you to do this one. I'll be following along. Ours was an awesome cruise; the crew and staff of AOS were terrific and you could tell that they were sincere and genuinely happy to be back cruising again. I'm sure your cruise will be awesome, as well. Enjoy!

I learned from my new Bahamian friend Kenny (the 6' 8" pro basketball player for the Czech Republic) and excellent waiter at the Tiki Bikini that it is pronounced "Kah Lick" (emphasis on the "Lick"). It was named that and is pronounced that way because that is the sound a cow bell makes; Kah lick, Kah lick...

You've got less than 1000 on board this week. Should be super empty

I forgot that too it will really feel like you rented a yacht for a week just for yourself.

Last week was one great week on Adventure!

I remember the days on cruises when on port days you fought for a table in Windjammer. Not this cruise.

Our itinerary is different. Coco Cay today. Sea day. Cozumel. Sea day. Freeport. Coca Cay. Then saddest day ever…

I actually kind of like that better I would’ve loved to end our cruise there instead of a beautiful industrial port of Freeport!

in my opinion your itinerary layout is better than what mine was.

i wish I was on that ship with ya!

The weather looks awesome! Enjoy your time on CoCo Cay and AOS. Say “Hi” to Robert. He’s at the swim up Oasis bar and the Champagne Bar. Best bartender!

Haha. Robert just made me a pina colada and I had to take his picture with it before I saw your post because it was a work of  art.

As I posted on our 7/17 LIVE thread, the passenger count had "the Goldilocks effect,";

not too few, not too many,, it was just right.
