And remember that ANY class of service on any airline can vary between the different aircraft - you can get a different product on a 767 vs 330 vs 350 vs 321.

When making final flt choices, check  seat guru dot com  to enter your airline, date, flt # to see seat plan. Not only to see if seat pairs vs. 3x3x3 but proximity to lavatory, galley, good/bad bulkhead recline, etc.  Of course in this pandemic era, the best plans can get disrupted with equipment or schedule changes.

Since there's no worry about spamming SeatGuru:

https://www.seatguru.com/

And do NOT assume that the equipment SeatGuru brings up from your flight info is correct.  The definitive answer is to bring up the specific seatmap for YOUR flight on the airline website and compare it to what you see on SeatGuru.  Most times you will be the same, but for airlines that have multiple interior configurations of the same aircraft, you need to check.

Also, the recline info on SG is often incorrect.

So true.

Pre-COVID (YVR-LHR) we had BA B-747's about 8 months per year and A-380's during the summer. The First cabin and service on the A-380 was vastly superior to the very tired B-747's.

  • 3 weeks later...

On our flights the delta plane between Boston and Reykjavik called the old domestic 1st class section premium select. It was the top category. We flew back economy since the upgrade wasn’t available. Fortunately the flight wasn’t full.  The toilets for economy and comfort+ were minimal in numbers, size and cleanliness. The mid cabin toilet was the smallest I have ever seen. The upgrade was definitely worth the $250 but not close to $2000.
