My final payment date is the 6th of next month and I am ready to cancel.  We were supposed to cruise Thanksgiving week, I have already moved on.

Sorry to hear you are cancelling and moving on.

Personally once they announced precruise tests, I was done booking. No matter how cheap and if I'm saying I'm not booking more cruises so are most people imo. If they werent giving away cruises to casino folks the ships wouldnt be filling. I could book rcl libety for under $500 for 7 days including fees and taxes and not booking. $481 and during wow sale obc added lol. Prices lowered only thru next march or may, but others will drop if these protocols continue.

I dont want to get tested or wear a mask. Period. It doesnt matter to me how many post they dont care, I care. I wouldnt book more cruises until it changes.

I saw John said no protocols out today for nov and dec. I guess he is being asked a lot.

Just curious as to what protocols are going to make you cancel.  I mean you know the protocols today. I don’t think it’s going to get any better any time soon  imo

that's what i'm trying to understand... nothing is going to be removed for oct/nov sailings for sure.. and i really doubt dec will be any less than they currently are.  i'm waiting on sept to start to see the lower prices on october cruises :)

Why would sept coming make prices lower for october. October protocols have been out for some time. Its nov and dec not out they are waiting for.

I wouldnt think oct would drop because of protocols, though possibly people are still cancelling.

Yep - that's what I see here on the west coast for VIFP offers.

actually the two spa rooms I have on MG Christmas is 2k more now than when I booked over a year ago.

I'm guessing that is because of reduced capacity + holiday week.

On our VIFP offers, we could book any week of September on the Panorama 7 day for as little as $611.48 for an interior (all taxes & fees included) or for a balcony $1093.48 (again, all in).

John posted this morning that protocols aren't out yet.

He said they are still looking at things, CDC, delta variant, etc etc.

My cruise is one of the last in December with a final payment date of Sept 27th, so obviously many others are past their final payment date..

waiting. waiting waiting :(

Can't even book Thanksgiving for 4 people anymore on the MG. Other than the Casino offers (and those good Cheers promos), I wouldn't say prices are better than they were 2 years ago. What I will say is prices are better than the were a couple of months ago. When they first announced coming back, prices went up, but now they seem like what they were before.

Mardi Gras Thanksgiving 2022 for 4 of us is the same price I paid for the 4 of us for Thanksgiving 2021 (but with $200 OBC instead of $50). Of course it will no longer be their newest ship. The Celebration will be $200 more, no OBC and one day shorter.

For the Nov/Dec cruisers that have already passed final payment date, have they extended it for you all since protocols have not been released? Our final payment is due 9/12 so I am hoping the protocols are announced by then but wondering what to expect if they are not.

My ta said he asked for a extension and they said no. Call back and different answer. I wanted to wait for protocols but still going. My ta said he asked.

Thanks, we will just play by ear and see what happens then. With camp ocean closed we are weighing whether we want to switch to Royal for our cruise in December since their have the kids clubs still open at the moment.

Our final payment was due this week.  We were offered an extension when we called, but would have needed to increase our deposit to the full deposit amount (if you booked with 50% off deposits, they were requiring full deposit (100%) in order to give the extension).  Our other options were to pay in full, move the cruise to a later date or cancel under standard cancellation policies.

That being said, HOPEFULLY by the time your final payment is due on 9/12 they will have put something out regarding Nov / Dec protocols.

Yeah, me either.  Too much hoop jumping to get on a ship right now, not interested.  I have been on several land vacations during Covid and will continue to do that until things return to normal.  Starting to have doubts that will ever happen.
