So I received an offer from the casino for a complimentary cruise that is good from Oct 1-Dec 31st? Are there any disadvantages to booking this? Also do we receive cruise points toward our C&A? If so, would they be included in the double point promotion??

No disadvantage at all.

You can take the free interior or pay to upgrade.

You will get C&A points, and in this case, double points.

I booked one.  A four day on Freedom.  The next day I got another offer with a different offer code so I booked a three day and made it a B2B for a week long cruise!  She told me I would get double points.  We just had my son's wedding this past weekend and we decided we need a break.  Not looking forward to masking in some parts of the ship but we decided we can put up with it to get back on board.

Not true!  I cruise with Celebrity way more than Royal Caribbean and then it is only a couple of times a year.  I play slots but never lose more than $200 in a week, if that.  I much prefer to play table games but I stick with the minimum bet.  I don't think table game play gets rewarded unless you really wager a lot because my husband plays for hours but usually only bets at double the minimum or so and he has never gotten a single offer.

I got offered a couple of free cruises last year which were cancelled unfortunately.  This year I got at least 4 offers and took them up on 2.

You get points for casino play - slots machines usually give you more points than playing table games.      It is 2500 points that is needed to reach prime membership to get drinks and free cruises sent to you on a regular basis.

I think $5 earns you 1 point so technically it would take $12,500 over a 12 month period to get to prime status but I can tell you I have NEVER played that much in the casino.    It has something to do with how many points you play while on your slot machine.

If you play table games then you have to let the dealer know you want your points totaled up and they will keep track but I have heard a lot of people don't find it very accurate, best to get your points from the slots.

In the casino year of April 1st thru March 31st of 2019/2020 I spent maybe $3000 in total to retain my prime status.

You automatically get your annual complimentary cruise certificate for an interior cabin for 2 adults issued beginning of April and must be used by March 31st of the following year.    Of course, you can pay the difference to upgrade your cabin.

You also receive free cocktails (whatever you want) and free water bottles while in the casino.   I usually grab a couple bottles of water in the casino bar and put in room fridge for the next day if going to a port or just to have while sitting by the pool.     If casino is open during the day I drop by and get some cocktails and take them up to the pool deck.

Plus you will receive free cruise offers throughout the year.    lately, new offers have been coming almost every Monday.      Our offers are usually for free oceanview or balconies, some interiors here and there.    I still have to book my 2 annual free cruises from 2020 and 2021 to use by 3/2022.    Can only be sailings up to 7 nights and hope to book it on a b2b, just cannot book the annual freebie for a holiday cruise.

here is one of our offers received this month for free balcony for 2 adults   You do have to pay the port fees and taxes out of pocket.    image.png.2aeb081322e4263a264626fb031668d8.png

My husband is also prime and we sometimes get the same offers and turn them in b2b's if possible.

Is it possible to book 30+ free casino cruises? I read on a blog that someone did that this year and I want to know if it is true

Yes, it is definitely possible.  We are prime and we both receive new offers almost every monday.    There was a brief period of time earlier this year before cruising restarted that we had gaps in between offers otherwise they have been very regular.

The offer doesn't mention free drinks in the casino, how do I know if I get those? I won't get the drink package if that's the case!

If you are prime or higher then Yes you definitely get free cocktails and free bottled water or soda at casino bar, when casino is open.

With our drink vouchers for diamond, free casino drinks and the 2 bottles of wine we bring onboard we will be drinking like fish...hehe
