past guest benefits-Platinum

So I just got off the Breeze last Thursday. The only benefit that I received, without asking, was an invite to the Platinum/Diamond Party. I did ask for the $25 free play in the casino and that was provided. I also did go to Pixels for the past guest gift.....which was a luggage tag.

 

No bottle water

No drink at sea day brunch

No chocolate/dessert to cabin

 

I did not ask about any of the above items, nor did I need to to do laundry. I was just wondering if anyone else had any luck with these or any other benefits? I am heading back on the same ship on Saturday, this time no cheers package, so the beverages would be nice if they are actually being offered right now.

We are platinum and received all.

 

For the bottle of water you have to go to "certain bars" to get it.  Atrium bar is the sure bet.  For the drink at seaday brunch you have to order something that costs $ and say "I'd like to use my platinum seaday drink".

We received the pins and luggage tags at Pixels, the water bottle from the sports bar, ordered a drink at seaday brunch and it was automatically credited without us mentioning anything.  We never asked for chocolate treat- I couldn’t remember where to ask and we were always too full anyway.

I knew that you had to ask for certain things but kept forgetting. I did drink a bottle of water in my cabin though and I think I was never charged for it- despite there being a stipulation to go to the bar to get it. I was thirsty at one point and decided I'd rather pay the cost then walk the walk, lol. I grabbed the pin when I was in Pixels getting photos and the cashier remember to give me the luggage tag which I forgot to ask for- the was the Platinum gift. Like others have mentioned I do Cheers so didn't bother with the free brunch drink and the free drinks at the "party" were fine I guess but also not really needed. It was my first time as Platinum so I did the party but in the future... eh... probably not. There really isn't much "benefit" to the program to be honest.

benefits are minimal but people like myself who have only have 3 carnival cruises and a red card get offered $10 and $25 VIFP cruise offers while many platinums do not. It’s insulting and backwards  …… 

I wholeheartedly agree with you! I am 14 days from Diamond and it just irks me to no end to see some of these offers. I understand it from a marketing perspective, but loyalty really should be worth more than it is. Doubt that will ever happen tho. They know they have you!

No drink coupon, we were told to go to any bar & request the 2 bottles of water & show them pur card. We never did since we had dri k package so just got a bottle when wanted one. We did get a plate of macaroons  , strawberries & truffles that we didn't eat.

Oh my!  I'm Platinum.  I guess I better take notes on where to go for each item.  I'm on Sunrise in October and Mardi Gras in July.  Hope I got this correct. 😀

 

Large Bottle of Water -  Any bar

Pin & Gift -  Pixels

Free Drink - at Seaday Brunch if you buy something, no free drink coupon

Chocolate Dessert - call room service

Laundry - request bag from Cabin Steward

Priority Boarding - For guest with Suites only

It is interesting.  We too are just days from Diamond and both of us are getting all of the really good offers.  They are mostly casino offers so if you haven’t signed up with the players club you won’t get any of those.

I am definitely in the Players Club. While I don’t spend much more than $100 per day, I do love to play the slots!  I do get casino offers, mostly for $$ off fare and some cruise cash, just none of those free rooms and stuff like that.

We were on the Miracle last month and found collecting the platinum/diamond perks feels a lot like an on board scavenger hunt:

[X] Find your invitation to platinum/diamond party in your stateroom

[ ] Go claim your free drinks & horderves at the platinum/diamond party

[X] Find the laundry bag in the desk drawer, then ask stateroom steward for the form to fill out for a free bag of laundry.

[X] Go to pixels and find out when someone will be available that can give out your luggage tag and pin.

[X] Find the bar that has your free bottle of water.

[X] Go to the casino cage and claim your $25.00 free play.

[ ] Go to a bar for your sea day brunch drink

[ ] Call room service for the chocolate delight

 

It looks like we didn’t even come close to finishing the game . . . No trophy for us

Nailed it with the above info. We went to customer service on Horizon and they did provide us with the list of pickup points.
