Long term stay recommendations… San Diego

Booked on a HAL cruise departing San Diego on April 3rd.  Looking at coming to the San Diego area for 3-4 weeks prior to the cruise.  Looking for suggestions on hotels or VRBO’s in the area.  Hoping to be $150/night or less.  Looking for someplace in walking distance to the ocean with a few restaurants nearby.

You might be OK for a VRBO.  I recall San Diego passed an ordinance on short stay rentals.  Your price point might be a little difficult.  Maybe call the El Cordova on Coronado Island directly and see if they might work you a deal for that long of a stay.  They have rooms with kitchenettes and even full kitchens and dining rooms.  It has an interesting history and is in the perfect location.

After you find some in y our price range you can post links either here or in the san diegomforum of tripmadvisor which is more about staying in a place 

This web site is more about cruising rather than long term stays

The beaches with the most restaurnt/bars nearby is Pacific Beach and its southern end,Mission beach
