phabric Posted October 25, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2021 I was reading Celebrity’s protocol for US/Florida cruises. It says 3 days before cruise for a negative Antigen test, I thought CDC said 2 days? My cruise is Saturday. I am trying to figure out when to do test before my flight to FLL. Do I do my test on Thursday or Wednesday?
phoenix_dream Posted October 25, 2021 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2021 The current requirement is two days, not counting the day of sailing.
Jeremiah1212 Posted October 25, 2021 #3 Share Posted October 25, 2021 It sounds like you are looking at the US entry requirements, which is 3 days. Celebrity's requirement to board is 2 days.

Go to your local SDM/Costco/Walmart on Thursday for your test, fly on Friday and board on Saturday. If you want more information, go over to the Canadian Cruisers board. Rare NutsAboutGolf Posted October 25, 2021 #5 Share Posted October 25, 2021 I'm not sure if this applies to Canada but you can buy a two pack test from celebrity (can't buy just one) for $69 USD. You take the test over a conference call and receive the results in about 15mins. https://store.optum.com/celebrity-cruises/
phabric Posted October 25, 2021 Author #6 Share Posted October 25, 2021 I have not seen this product for Canada. My flight is on Thursday is 4:30pm. I will plan to get a test the earliest on Thursday morning at home and it should be good for the airline/USA and the ship on Saturday.
deliver42 Posted October 25, 2021 #7 Share Posted October 25, 2021 Don't worry about the time. They count days, not hours.

Only concern with this is all the airline cancellations lately. Don’t want to really risk flying in the day before.

Unlike their US counterparts, Canadian airlines haven't been experiencing cancellation issues. Consequently, my advice was based on the Canadian reality, not the situation in the US. It only started recently, and I don't know if it will be all stores or just select ones. Fortunately, the one closest to our home does, and is very competitively priced.
