You did not provide the particulars, but it was likely a default option or a choice you made versus a cash refund (I am guessing for a cancelled voyage).  You would need to check with Princess if there is a cash option (likely for something less than the FCC value) available now.  The idea of the FCC is to use it to pay for a future cruise.

If it was a  1:1 rollover of payments you made to future cruise credits then you can probably can request  a refund. If the FCC's are bonus amounts provided by Princess then no.
