abpplh Posted November 15, 2021 #51 Share Posted November 15, 2021 This was from an article on the Odyssey Naming ceremony 2 day cruise. Mr. Bayley shared some rough estimates for ships sailing over the next few months. " In October, I think the Royal Caribbean International Brand fleet sailed at 50 percent load factor." "In November it'll be 60 percent. In December, it'll be 65. As we move into January, we'll continue to increase it." 1
Miloomar Posted November 15, 2021 #52 Share Posted November 15, 2021 If they were at 60% in November, we'd see more ships with the Windjammer open for dinner... i think I've only seen people report 1-2 ships have that so far

That’s 13 out of 22 ships.

gumshoe958 Posted November 15, 2021 #56 Share Posted November 15, 2021 On this page, you want the person icon (above the ‘da’ in Florida) … On the next page you’ll see a link to Select a Different Sailing. At the bottom of that page, below the list of your upcoming cruises, there’s a link to Get More Details on Ships We Support. That takes you to a list of all the ships, and when you select one it’ll bring up a list of all its upcoming cruises.

bgoff60 Posted November 16, 2021 #58 Share Posted November 16, 2021 Just got off Allure OTS. (Nov 7-14th) We were at 59.8% of rated capacity according to the Cruise Director. It felt great - not to busy & not to empty. VERY FEW kids...like under 75 that we could see... Venues were super easy to get into and out of. The new muster was awesome. Service was top notch... And they aren't stopping with giving cabins away anytime soon....that already is continuing well into 2022. I think masking will go away once 5-11 group is required to be vaccinated. I think testing will stay for a while. And it’s super easy with the online test kit for $69 for 2 people. Different note - Does appear that while there are lots of cabins unsold, the suites are pretty heavily booked. Royal opted for the test cruises so they didn't have to restrict kids. They average over 10% of passengers under 12 and didn't want to restrict this. Whether your particular sailing has that many or not - you won't know until you get on board. But I can almost guarantee it's more than 1. Depending on the week it could be a couple dozen or if it's when school is out it could get into the hundreds possibly.

Oh no! I'm sailing on her in 3 weeks. I was hoping for around a max of 2,500. I cancelled my Feb birthday cruise to sail sooner given projections of passengers increasing. Man, I should have sailed in Sept or Oct when numbers were even lower. I'm still excited to return before all the masses return next year. Just was hoping for those great lower numbers. Also, I'm not seeing the cheap prices people are quoting in the comments here. Prices seem to be going up. But, maybe that is true for mainly the itineraries I like. I'm not a fan of Western Caribbean itineraries and there are a ton of sailings for that. So, I skip over looking at those prices. Makes sense that they would be cheaper though. Rare binro01 Posted November 16, 2021 #66 Share Posted November 16, 2021 (edited) I think it will be natural to see larger sailing capacity in the holiday season. The real questions will be answered com Jan and Feb when it was harder to fill ships in the pre Covid times. I think based on that info we will see how well the cruise lines are really doing because the glut of people with FCC might be more cleared out, and there will be no holidays during those months. If we see Jan and Feb continue to trend up that’s a great sign for the industry. If they stagnate, other ideas will start to be discussed depending on the mood of the country due to a number of factors. Not just the virus. fla gang Posted November 16, 2021 #68 Share Posted November 16, 2021 So I am booked on the Odyssey in the spring and was told by club Royale that the sailing is at capacity, but I wonder what that number is? could it be the ships true capacity by then (March)?
