But I have looked on the Cunard site today and the transfer option seems to have gone, is that a recent change or am I confusing the terms with another cruise line? Today copy/paste Cancelling voyages due to sail on or before 30 April 2022. The Cunard Fare and Early Saver. Period before departure within which written notice of cancellation is received by Cunard Cancellation charges (percentage of fare) From the date of booking until 31 days before departure Deposit (or transfer to another voyage free of charge) 30 - 16 days 75% 15 - 4 days 90% Less than 4 days before departure or failure to embark. 100% (or 100% Future Cruise Credit if a guest on the booking fails pre-screening or testing)

Confusingly the normal FAQ stated cancellation up to 31 days before lose only the deposit, which in itself are softened conditions. We have a decision to make before next Wednesday (31 days) whether to go on the cruise, transfer to an alternative (not much takes our fancy and the costs!!) or cancel and forfeit the deposit. bbtablet Posted December 8, 2021 #28 Share Posted December 8, 2021 We decided not to leave it to the last day in case we couldn't get through and there was an argument about the meaning of 31 days.

Personally, as the O variant COVID cases are now doubling every three days, one would speak with one’s PCS, as the situation is not getting any better. Suggest on speaking with one’s PCS enquire about the option of converting all monies to FCC, parking any FCDs and booking from the new brochure, which is mooted to be released at end of January 2022. Additional bonus on booking a new release is the potential of 5% discount, plus better “opening” prices and greater selection of staterooms. Just one’s thoughts……. Cunard don't currently offer FCC, might a TA have that as an option?

Cunard Personal Cruise Specialist - Like a Concierge, they take care of most things prior to and even when one is onboard. Okay, without a PCS, now look at a transfer to any cruise albeit a higher price , then when the new brochure comes out, transfer again. Cunard rules allow multiple transfers copy/paste Prior to the balance due date on your booking, you can now: Transfer your booking to any Cunard voyage currently on sale (and not just to those within the next 12 months). Transfer your booking to a voyage of higher or lower value (and not just of a higher value, as is usually the case). Transfer your booking an unlimited number of times (and not just once). Transfer your bookings free of charge, as we will waive the current £100 administration charge for each transfer made

majortom10 Posted December 8, 2021 #33 Share Posted December 8, 2021 Unfortunately not everyone is in the privileged position of having a Cunard Personal Cruise Specialist.

If you have an agent you trust through whom you book your Cunard cruises , then you also have a Cunard Personal Cruise Specialist. 🙂 If he/she is as marvellous as ours, then you are truly lucky. The fact our specialist also books all other cruise lines too, is irrelevant!

I know he is. However, find 'yourself' a brilliant agent and they are just as connected with Cunard and are your own Cunard Personal Cruise Specialist. I have one and I'm sure there are many just as superb as my agent. When you find one, 'you' hang onto them as they are worth their weight in gold [or WCC Diamonds!]. 🙂

They tell you to claim on your travel insurance. Cunard will consider and pay out of pocket expenses on a case by case application.... A chap from this canx'd cruise has had all of his paid out - he quotes --- 4 nighter on QE (27/11/21) cancelled on the day but Cunard emailed today offering me compensation for reasonable expenses including my hotel stay, parking, taxis and fuel bill. An excellent level of customer service which helps to take the sting out of it.

Highseaslife Posted January 13, 2022 Author #39 Share Posted January 13, 2022 Cancelled Queen Elizabeth 4 day mini cruise 27th November 21. Still no refund received from Cunard for this cancelled cruise. My friend booked through a travel agent so she is chasing but frankly not too impressed. Anyone else in the same boat (so to speak)!! Tomotter Posted January 13, 2022 #40 Share Posted January 13, 2022 Yes, I left the boat, got the refund today as well as the items - such as travel expenses, rebookings etc. - not covered by my travel insurance. I live in Switzerland and was well supported by the TA.
