Rare twangster Posted December 14, 2021 #4 Share Posted December 14, 2021 The testing at the port is not free. Quite expensive really and the exchange rate will make that even uglier. But that is a last resort.
Rare Lionesss Posted December 14, 2021 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2021 I just went to the RCI site and did not see the link. Can you help me? From the slow learner. TY
Rare twangster Posted December 14, 2021 #6 Share Posted December 14, 2021 Free testing in the US was designed for US citizens. It is free because the federal government pays for it. A free testing site is supposed to ask for proof of insurance or absent insurance your US SSN and state ID. Some Canadians have reported being able to obtain free tests at pharmacies in the US as reported by the CBC. Technically Canadians are not eligible for free tests. The US federal government and by extension we the US taxpayers should not be paying for your tests.

According to the US gov, immigration status does not matter for free testing. Sites may ask for documentation, but it is not required. If this program has expired, I apologize for bad information. lovelife Posted December 14, 2021 #11 Share Posted December 14, 2021 FYI: I saw this place while in Fort Lauderdale for two nights between Mariner and Allure. Took a pic in case anyone is interested.. It is on 17th Street in the strip mall housing Ross and Panera Bread across the highway from Embassy Suites. This is about two and a half miles from Port Everglades.
