Can you comment on what it has been like getting served in the buffer?  Is it easy to pop from one section to another or is there line-ups for everything?  If you miss something do you have to line up again?

The buffet is very different from Sky and Regal (only other ships I’ve been on).  To change sides you have to either go out on the deck or cross by the elevator bank.  When both sides have been open they offer the same items.  Port side seems to have less people vs Starboard,  it sure why but when both sides have been open people tend to go starboard.

I’ll take a pic later, but the items you can pick up yourself are on little plates or in bowls/cups.  Staff are serving you the other items, even making your salad or squirting condiments.  We’ve been using the MDR as much as possible.

Here is todays patter, tonight is formal night.  Last night there was a few people turned away from the dining room in shorts.  I had wondered if they would stick to the dress code for evening meals (no shorts).

Trivia was a lot of fun in the explorer lounge, they gave away a bottle of champagne.  We also went to the comedian, was OK.  He has a new show tonight in the Explorers lounge.

Forgot to post Tuesdays dinner.

Prime rib was excellent!

Mexican salad a little bland.

Pea and ham soup was mostly black beans.

Seseme chicken bites were ok, reminded me of chicken bites I make in the air fryer.

The seafood bowl was excellent, lots of meat from the listed critters.

No COVID talk that I’ve heard.  I’ve seen people in public areas trying to skip their mask but staff has been asking them to get masked and staying with them until masked.  I haven’t seen anyone trying to be difficult about it which is nice!

Great dinner in the Crown Grill tonight.  Ribeye was perfect, Kansas Strip was OK,  we each had ours medium rare.

Apps we had Steak tartar and Prawns.  Wife had Black and Blue onion soup and I had Goat cheese and tomato salad.  Dessert was Crembrulee cheesecake and a chocolate sponge cake.  Everything was great!

YES NO gameshow is a must!  Owen was a great host! If you haven’t played basically you have a conversation with the host, and you can’t reply to any question with yes or no or anything similar with a clock running behind you; go 3 minutes you win!

7-8 people were quickly knocked out in 11-30 seconds one after another. Then an 11 year old came up and Owen was immediately nervous, mumbling how everyone was going to hate him.  Well he entertainingly tried his best to not destroy the kid and the kid won.  Cruise director announced the prizes were for adults so he gave the kid a $30 gift card to buy candy.  Everyone was pleased.

I had signed up, because on the Sky I had gotten knocked out in 21 seconds.  But didn’t get called, they had 40 sign ups.

karaoke was awesome again!  Still masked while singing.  Cannot believe how many people were so talented, was awesome!

Diane from Scotland performed “Fever” the other night, tonight she did “It’s Raining Men”.  Posting a sample below!

We did a lot today, between games, Karaoke, trivia, eating, and soaking in the hot tub at The Reef (only quiet part of ship) we’re wiped!  Great day!  St Thomas tomorrow!

St. Kitts was awesome!  We snorkeled in St Thomas, Turtle Cove had one sea turtle and it was massive!  It swam right up in the middle of our group.  I normally take a go pro but forgot it, never been so close to one.

St Kitts we did an island tour, $25 a head.  Took about 3 hours because we had some people who wanted to go into the rain forest, which was neat!

We stopped at a few places, I took all the pics on my Canon, will try to share a couple of the neater ones.

We didn’t book it through the ship, found a guy in the square at the port, was on an open air bus with 11 people total.  It is very windy!  About lost my hat, camera bag and phones holster while we were driving.  Beautiful island!  Seeing where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic was also very interesting, the waters colliding was massive.

@Justaguy33 Have you heard any predictions on how many passengers are expected to be on the CB cruise departing this Sunday?  We are booked and will be on it assuming we pass our Covid tests tomorrow.

I haven't, but estimates from prior cruises appear to be about 40% capacity. Given the new CDC announcement, it would not surprise me at all if people were cancelling today and tomorrow. We might end up having a VERY low capacity ship...which would be a very good thing.

I agree.  Good luck with your Covid testing!

We're on the 5th attempt at a family cruise on Caribbean March 6.  Given the CDC's current trend I'm not holding my breath.

We did the drive-thru test at Walgreens at 10 am.  The employee who observed the tests said "you will get the results within 24 hours but more likely in the next few hours."  We received the emails at 10:40  and are both negative.  Time to get serious about packing!

We also just got our negative results.

For anyone on board now  - how is the compliance with the mask rules on the ship?

(And I know that next week's passengers are a whole new group but from what I'm reading on CC there seems to be an "atmosphere" about norms on different ships that carries through subsequent cruises.

Wow - my DW starts packing 3 months before.  She's a professional.

I’ve been told mixed things as far as passengers go, but most have told me 60%, and there are a number of kids

on board.  Masking is enforced.

we just noticed tonight that we haven’t seen any photographers in the MDR the whole cruise.  Tonight is the 2nd formal with lobster!
