Best Way to Carry on 12 Packs?

What is the preferred method for brining on 12 packs of soda? I have only been on one other cruise before and I just put them inside my carry on luggage that time. I don’t think I will have room this time. Can I carry them on top of it? Do you strap them down somehow? Do you have to take them off to send it through the x-ray machine?

We have a small rolling "cart" that folds flat. Simple and straps the soda. Have also used a small rolling carry on with soda and a small tower fan with a few essentials (meds) to ensure we have no issues.

The best way is to carry them in your carry on. I tried strapping them on top and was fine until security tore the 12 pack case open. What a mess.

I’ve carried them on one of those little carts, and have also carried on top of my carryon. I do believe if security tore open my 12 pack and searched, I’d just leave it right there, no reason to do that other than they’re trying to be smart a… .  Different story if it looks like it’s been opened.  I have also put a 6 pack of cans in my small cooler, they open the cooler and look at contents and let it go. Don’t have problem with any of that anymore since we don’t drink anymore!

We have a very small spinner suitcase that we use. Holds two twelve packs easily.

I have seen cans rolling all over the place after security got a hold of them.

If you carry on a small rolling suitcase, you can sit the 12 pack on top of the suitcase and secure it to the suitcase handle with a bungee cord. When you lean the bag back to roll it, the 12 pack will rest on the handle.

If that doesn't work, you can always try shoving them in your bra - 6 on each side.

Even if my wife let me use her Bra - I do not think they would all fit, and it might set off the Metal Detector you have to walk through. The subsequent body search might then be...interesting.

We move some things from our carryons to the larger suitcase to make room for the 12-pack and our 1 bottle of wine each. Sometimes we cut the 12-pack in half and set them on the bottom inside the carryon so they fit better.

Most that I have witnessed just carry them the old fashioned way "Under Arm"

Smugglers would put 8 cans of beer surrounded by 2 cans of soda at each end of a 12 pack.

I have always used a carry on.  It gives you something to put all your gifts in at the end of the cruise.
