J&J 01375 Posted January 3, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2022 How early can we plan on flying out of Seattle? I know The airport is not close to the port, and we will need to factor morning Commute traffic. Flying back to FL, so mid afternoon departure is essentially a red-eye for us. thank you for your help.
CruiserBruce Posted January 3, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2022 11:30 is the commonly recommended earliest flight.
Rare Ferry_Watcher Posted January 4, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2022 @CruiserBruceis correct. 11:30 AM is the earliest recommended. SeaTac gets very busy during the summer months.
cruisingrob21 Posted January 13, 2022 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2022 Yes, seatac is very busy in the summer, especially on Saturday and Sunday when there are 3 ships in town. During the weekday, traffic can be pretty bad as well, but generally the airport is in the opposite direct of Seattle traffic. However, Seattle's traffic is now a little bit of all directions most of the day in the last 10 years or so. I would recommend TSA precheck if you can get it. Husky61 Posted January 14, 2022 #5 Share Posted January 14, 2022 We live near Seattle and fly out from there frequently. We never have a problem with security at SeaTac because we have pre-check and "Clear". The longest it has ever taken us is 7 minutes. Clear is a big plus. bonsai3s Posted January 15, 2022 #6 Share Posted January 15, 2022 We were lucky and happy that "Luggage Valet" was available in Seattle...Ovation of the Seas cruise last year. Highly recommend it.
