What is capacity like now?

Sorry if this has been covered recently and feel free to provide a link. I searched 6 ways to Sunday and couldn’t find it.

 

So, basic question—is Carnival still sailing at reduced capacity? Or back to it after the holidays?  Any info out there.?

I know from groups that the liberty is currently sailing with less than 1300. 
Beyond that they really don’t release that info. I would say most will now be under 75% with the Mardi Gras sailing at the highest.

We're on Mardi Gras this Saturday and I've been wondering the same thing.

I suspect that right now it's not so much about reduced capacity as it is gunshy cruisers.  Carnival might have a maximum percentage in mind, but I don't think they're hitting it.

That’s a good point. I’m just curious. I don’t sail again until the end of Feb and who knows what will happen by then. But it sure was nice having only 1700 passengers on the Freedom in October.

On Mardi Gras now - was told at check in there are 4400 on this sailing

On Elation for three cruises, starting with NYE cruise. The NYE was 2,400+. This cruise, leaving yesterday, 1,417. So, greatly reduced; many cancellations. Nice, uncrowded ship. Great music!

@2Shoes2Go I will be on the Jan 8th sailing on the Elation as well.  Hoping that the smaller numbers continue.

We sail on Sunday on the Freedom and am hoping for low occupancy as well.

Sailing Saturday on the Vista. I asked John Heald on his FB page if he had an estimate of the capacity it will be sailing at. He said about 70%, which is what it was back in October when we sailed. I'm thinking it will be less if all the people who said they were cancelling followed through. Not good for Carnival's bottom line, but I sure like the smaller number of passengers, and can't wait to try out the smokeless casino!

I don't know, our Pride cruise in early Dec seemed pretty full and a report I read said it was 100% but I can't confirm that.

How many does MG hold? Does it feel uncrowded? Lots of open space?

John mentioned 70% on his FB video today.

On Legend now..staff member told me there's 1400 onboard after about 400 cancellations. It has been great,  hardly any lines for anything.

MG was about 83% capacity
