Water Taxis - Castries to Anse Chastanet?

Hello - IF we can travel on our own when on St Lucia, we would really like to go to Anse Chastanet. I understand it may be most efficient to take a water taxi rather than drive over an hour. Is this accurate?

If so - do we taxi Castries to Soufriere then Soufriere to Anse Chastanet?

Are the taxis reliable and in good supply? Can you reserve?

Any idea the approximate costs?

Thank you.

Never heard of a water taxi doing the trip.

The cost each way could be over US$100.00, with a travel time 1.25 to 1.50 hours, but wait for Reed Princess to Login and reply with her up to date information.

Yes, water taxis do this trip along with various tour companies.

Check Shashamane Water Taxi and Boat tours. FB or 758 519 2122

Or Israel King  Water Taxi 758  717 3301 or FB..

Or Feel Good Water Taxi  758 721 2174, they have a website also...

Safe travels.

This was the beach I was thinking of heading to for snorkeling. I haven’t seen it mentioned much here so far. Is there a reason for that?  Thanks.

Anse Chastenet is mentioned quite frequently when it comes to questions about where to snorkel on island

As you can see from posts above, it's approximately 75-90 minutes by land from port, and 40-50 by boat.

Loads of tours that include a stop at AC for snorkeling.

Expect to pay around $80-90usd one way for land, around 3xs that for water taxi .
