Yes, this is great: tomorrow we'll dock in Papeete and we can freely roam ashore. My wife is getting her credit card ready for the black pearl stores.☹️

when we were there a few years ago we bought some choice vanilla beans in the market across from the pier.....when we got to Moorea, we bought a beautiful black pearl from a vendor near the landing spot....in a parking lot near a church......enjoy!

Viking excels again.....  We're delaying Bora Bora for a day due to bad weather forecast and adding an extra overnight in Tahiti.  Way to go......   🙂😇🤩🥰

Thanks for posting all the pictures everyone!  Was the food as good at the hotel evening as on the ship? Will you still get two nights on Bora Bora?  Hope so!  Also hoping the weather clears for you.  It looks pretty nice from here in the Oregon gray.

This cruise was sold out at one point. But then Hawaii dropped and covid cases soared so people canceled.

Yes. Friends stopped by the first night we were in Tahiti and were very disappointed.  Not like it had been in past visits to Tahiti.

Cruise Mapper gives the impression the Orion will be calling in at Hawaii on the way back to the US. Have those folks on board been adivised of their itinerary?

We’re in Hawaii right now visiting friends, and yesterday we saw a smallish cruise ship docked here (in Kauai). Couldn’t get a look at the company (not Viking). Looks like Hawaii is open to at least some cruise ships again.
