bjlaac Posted January 13, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2022 Wife and I just started to return to cruising and while on board the Anthem last month booked a cruise next trip on the Anthem next week. As most of you know RCCL threw in some onboard credit for booking on the ship. Prior to the pandemic we were sailing a lot on Norwegian and there OBC is specifically segregated as refundable (given by travel agent) and non-refundable (given by NCL). In addition, the non-refundable credit on Norwegian cannot be used for gratuities/daily service charges. So my question is what is RCCl's policy for OBC uses given by the cruise line vs OBC given by a travel agent? Thanks in advance for your help

Thanks in advance for your help Its pretty much the same with Royal but the OBC they give you can be used for gratuities, and anything else onboard. If you have refundable and non refundable both I believe they use up the non refundable first. Edited January 13, 2022 by ryano

Doesn't really matter, any flavor of OBC can be used for any charge on board or cashed out at the casino via the slot machine.

I know this has been answered before, but I didn’t pay attention 🙂. To cash it out via the slot machine, do I just put my room card in there, load the credits, then choose cash out? Do they take out a %? Thx!
