Casino Question

Hey all. We are currently on Anthem and have an issue in the casino. The host told us our points two nights ago and we were pleasantly surprised. We double checked with the other host on the same night, and she had the same total, and even pointed to the rewards on the sheet that we would receive at the end of the cruise. After a night of gambling last night, we went to check the points and it was significantly less (over 1000 points less) so we were very confused. She said she’d look into it and get back to us. Later on in the evening she said she double checked and that the points she’d told us are correct and she cant see the higher amount anywhere. We asked for a meeting with the casino director tonight. Anyone have insight on why this happened and what can be done to reconcile?

The casino IT system is run by RCI IT and the first number they gave you was wrong. There might be nothing to reconcile if the first number was wrong.

Gotcha. that’s what we were thinking. Just disappointed because we were excited about the free cruise we were told we’d be getting, oh well.

Having been Prime since the program began, I can honestly say I have never been pleasantly surprised by accumulated points.  It really sucks, but my suspicion is that they original numbers they quoted you were probably wrong.  It seems to me that the way they calculate points at the tables is getting less and less favorable to the players.

It sounds to me that you both knew the points total was wrong the 1st night. So wrong that you even checked twice.

We’ve never gambled on board before so we had no clue what amount of points to expect. It was many nights in, not the 1st night. We checked twice because we didn’t know if we heard them correctly the first time.

Did you switch cabins or get new keys by any chance?  We changed cabins on a cruise in August and it messed up our points.

We did have to get new key cards. Thank you, will look into it!

Understandable, wish we had gotten a print out of it that night. We’ve never gambled on board before (we’re in our 20s so this is one of our first big trips where we’re spending time in the casino) so we didn’t know what to expect
