That stinks.

What gifts have you gotten as part of the premier cruise?  My June cruise on the Mardi Gras is a premier cruise as well.

We had five premier/ultra gifts but I think the only "regular" premeir gift was the Carnival 50th anniversary coin in an ornate box, which we left behind.  We also didn't bother with the platinum gift, pin or sweet treat.  But we were sure to get our $25, free water and free cappuccinos.  We skipped the platinum party this time because October and November were duds without the food.

I think my comments and photos of Hol Inn Vac Club Port Can are on pages 1 and 2. Definitely recommend not just for proximity to Cruise Terminal 3 but also close to local fresh fish restaurants (20 minute walk) and very close to beach and jetty park (5 minute walk).

It’s great. We usually go there for a week each year. On the beach, great pool, huge rooms, can watch the cruise ships, rocket launches. Walk to dinner. Love it

Was it cash given to you or a sail n sign card credit?

On Pride and Legend it was cash.  On Mardi Gras they asked if I gamble slots or table games and when I said "table games only" I was handed a yellow $25 chip.  My daughter answered "mostly slots" and they put a $25 credit on her ("player bank?") casino account.

In our case, it was loaded on our s&s account - $25 for each of us.  Took longer to get it loaded  than it did for us to spend it.  🤣

I wonder if there is a way that it can be tracked how you spend it.  Between the two of us over two weeks I can think of better ways to spend it like dinner in Rudi's and a meal at Emeril's than blowing it in the casino.

...just sayin'...

Just off Mardi Gras yesterday and as a result of my donation to the casino (-$650 but could have been worse had it not been two really good nights of +$700 and +$950) I have some new offers that are going to be hard to pass up.  Example:

I think Carnival takes very good care of gamblers and I'm happy to be one of the degenerates.  😁 🏴‍☠️  Balcony, please.

We got cookies delivered, I'm guessing cuz of Premier,  not Platinum.  I tried a chocolate chip. Pretty good,  not great.

When I got the socks on the Freedom in December, I remember thinking, socks really?!!  (inside the black box) I actually love them. Very comfy.. Glad you enjoyed the Mardi Gras. I was on the 2nd sailing, Guys was actually excellent, food and service. Chibang was not. Dinner was 2 plus hours and food was just ok, orders mixed up. Glad to see that Chibang is better now .

That was our first meal on MG last month and I thought the same thing.  It was really good, but better than Chick Fil-A?  Nah, probably not.  The next morning I had a chicken biscuit for breakfast and I thought hmm, this MAY be as good as Chick Fil-A. Third time I ate there, I had the tenders, no biscuit - JACK POT!  The chicken all by itself is the best chicken I've ever had in my life and I'm trying to figure out how to get Shaq to open one in Cape Canaveral. 😍

Wish I had tried the tenders.

Hope we get a lot more on the Carnival 50th anniv cruise in March.  Royal Caribbean on their 50th gave us a lot of great and useful gifts.  Carnival--are you listening?

Looking forward to your review!  Will you do a live/partial-live?

Too cheap to pay for wifi.  But I will do a review either after week one or after week two.

C'MON MAAAN!  You could pay for one day the middle of first week, one day middle of second week.  That way give us four updates (middle, end, middle, end)... we want pics!  12 days!!!  As someone else said, "don't sleep on the shawarma"!  But ask for the mayonaisy sauce they put on the top on the side.  The white sauce (probably tzaziki) they spread on the pita before they put the meat on is all you want!

At the Alchemy, at 2 weeks ago on the Liberty 🗽, they had haberno vodka 😳

I actually had a fireball shot that included "essence" of haberno vodka in it. Any more than that and you are required to sign a waiver...

You, my friend, obviously get it.  While some people try to "show off" by eating anything hotter than a jalapeno, habanero fans know there's an art to applying that orange habanero sauce to balance the food's flavor with the heat and yummy flavor of the habanero.

Deleted.  I did get that offer, just nothing out of Galveston.

Marc, you did get "what" offer, but not out of Galveston?  $0 cruises?  Interesting because I got a bunch out of Galveston but only one out of Baltimore.  Guess they want us to fly somewhere/expand our ports-of-call experience?  I'll trade you eight Galveston $0 cruises for four Baltimore $0 cruises.  😁 🏴‍☠️

They're DEFINITELY geo-targeting. I've got none in the Gulf South, but plenty in Florida, Baltimore and Long Beach.

I looked today and there were a bunch from Galveston.   I want to take advantage of them so badly, but I know it won't be free, and I cannot afford to save more money that way right now.  But I had the ability, I could live on a ship cheaper than on land for the next two months.  But I would also gain 30 pounds.

Wife and I are sailing on MG on the 5th of Feb. Are they running shows in the main theater or anything? That was a big question we had that we can’t find anything on. Thanks.

We were on the New Year's Eve sailing on Mardi Gras. Make sure to see the shows at Grand Central. We enjoyed them even more than the shows in the theater. Lots of use of the gigantic LED screens -  amazing productions! The entertainers on that ship are excellent!! Get there plenty early for good seats close to the stage. You can't see everything from further back. Enjoy your cruise!
