Our last time on Vision class (GR) was April 2019 and CL was open to D+.  I know the SL is only open to GS and above on ships with SL's.  Vision class doesn't have a SL.  We've been on Vision class ships 10 times and have had access to the CL as D+ but didn't know if it had changed.  We just did HOTS and have done other classes of ships and never expect to have access to the SL.  Vision class has been different since they don't have SL's.  But, I'm asking about anyone who has either been on in the last month or is currently onboard.

I know it was on Grandeur when I went to sit in the CL.  The concierge came up to me to say that D+ was no longer allowed in the CL.  (They had not yet figured out how to reprogram the sea pass cards.). I showed him my pinnacle status sea pass and all was well.  So this was sometime between 9/19 and 2/20.  At this point I can’t imagine this has changed back.

We just got off this ship (January 8-20) and there were maaaaybe a handful of kids on board-- less than 20, I'd wager, and no teenagers that we saw.  All the kids were really little.  I don't think Adventure Ocean was even open.

As for children's activities?  Unless Adventure Ocean is open, none.  Literally.  I'm serious.

Don't know when you are sailing, but fair warning, have your kids be prepared to make their own fun-- games, puzzles, devices, whatever.  The Enchantment is not a ship geared for kids.  It's a small ship, and there is really nothing for kids to do (except for the rock wall, which may not even be open).  The crowd skews very much older, and if you're sailing in Covid times with greatly reduced capacities, they could easily be the only kids of their age on this particular ship.

Adventure Ocean was open on the 8-20 cruise. When I walked that's the door I went out. It was open day and night but it usually only had a couple kids (2-3) in it. They were young, too, maybe 5 at the most. I remember sending my son a text telling him how empty it was. He started cruising around 8 and loved the kids programs.

Sitting at the dock waiting for our transport to Maxxi's beach club.  A little chilly but better than home.  A reasonable crowd has assembled.  Enjoyed another night listening to Fresh Beat, hush dance party and our daily casino donation.

Sadly with this port we have already began heading north.

Still lots of fun to have left.

You might consider trying a B2B sometime to extend the length of a cruise. Enchantment also does 12-night Southern Caribbean cruises, 5-6-8-9-night Bermuda cruises. Depending on the dates, you can just connect them together. You probably know all this already, but if not just thought I'd mention it.

That's what we're doing in April.  02 April 12- night and 14 April 8 -night, so 20 days total.

Yes...I have relatives that are very fond of that combination. I never tried it, but always felt 20 days on a ship is probably a bit long for me. Worth trying sometime I suppose. I'll gladly do a 3-week car trip, or escorted land tour, but not sure about cruising that many days.

@edrussell Your posts have been so helpful.  Thanks for all the updates.  I do have a question that I'm hoping you can answer.   Do you know which Cruise Terminal number you docked at on your stop in Port Canaveral?  Trying to plan for next week.  Thank you.

The port schedule says CT5 for this cruise and the next cruise.

https://www.portcanaveral.com/getattachment/Cruise/Cruise-Lines-Schedules/CPA-Website-Schedule-12-8-21.pdf.aspx?lang=en-US

But, based on edrussell's posts, they may have docked at CT3 (since it was open).  Jan. 31 looks like a full house, so you will mostly likely dock at CT5 as scheduled.

Glad there is live as well as recorded dance music in the lounges.  "Hush dance" is everyone wearing headphones?

Enjoy the rest of your trip.

We were docked at Terminal 3.

I just got off this cruise yesterday. The spa prices were crazy expensive, and the services were not that great. Towards the end of the cruise, they did do $149 package with some facial treatments and hand and foot massage.

Omg, i can't believe anyone would pay strangers to fondle and tickle their hands and  feets. 😝

Clearly said by someone who has never had really good spa services.

That said, for Enchantment, I agree with you.  Wildly overpriced, and not that good.

Good to know!  My partner doesn't like massages at all but knows why I love them.  Tickling costs a lot more. 😄

Where is Ed?  Hope he and his partner are ok.  Katherine

If his previous accounts for this cruise hold, they're dressed to the nines, have had 5 cocktails each in three different bars, a full four course meal in the MDR, and are now dancing their feet off with the crew in tow in the Centrum.

Don't worry we are still alive and kicking.

Sorry about the radio silence.  We have been having so much fun I haven't had time to post.

So when I left off we were dockside waiting for the transfer to our shore excursion.  It arrived and we received a VERY emotional history of Grand Bahama Island from 'sweet P', the bus driver.  It was quite sad to hear what this island has went through.  With that said it is obvious they have a depth of character and will prevail.

We arrived at Maxxi's beach club and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of beach time, relaxation and of course adult beverages.  I will admit at first I was underwhelmed with the place; but as the afternoon wore on the staff changed that.  They were so friendly and welcoming.  We swam, walked the beach and collected shells.  By the time we left we didn't want to go!

It turns out Maxxi (owner) has a stand right at the pier.  He and his lovely wife had followed us back to the port to ensure we all made it OK.  We stopped and talked and laughed with him and his wife.  Of course pictures soon followed!!

We spent time at the pool and hot tub when we got back onboard.  At one point we were the only people in the solarium.  It felt like we had our own private yacht.  That night because I was so sunburned and we were both tired actually skipped MDR and dancing (I know, I know). We ordered room service and went to bed early.

Up early yesterday and hit the casino for our daily donation!  We now have enough for our next cruise due to the promotion onboard!!!!

We also hit up next cruise and have an appointment for today to finalize our Sept trip.  What??  Are you joking, just onboard your first cruise and we will already have 2 more lined up??  Heck yes.

Last night was a mix of dancing, singing, socializing (at a distance) and some more gambling.  We staggered back into the room as they booted us out of the casino at closing time.  We hit the bed and went to sleep in seconds.  Of course were full from our nightly meal in the MDR.

This cruise has been a magical vacation for us.  It has been due to two things.  The first is the crew.  They have bent over backwards (trust me, we love dancing so that has happened) to ensure our experience was memorable.  The second is the passengers.  I include all of you that have been following along and commenting in that.  What an amazing community of passionate cruisers there is out there.  Now you have 2 more members.  So look for us on the dance floor, in the hot tub or casino on your next cruise.

Here are some pictures of our adventures.  We have one more sea day left!

Glad you are having a good time. Thank you for providing an update.

If you have a chance, can you ask the crew how many passengers they expect for the next cruise? I am curious to see if they are keeping it at 40% occupancy or if they are starting to lift it.

We just completed our check in for March 5th on the Enchantment, feeling a lot better about the whole covidy thing as it seems that Omicron is now on the way down.

Safe drive back to Ontario, don't forget to fill in your arrival on the ArriveCan app.

It's official we will go down and book our next cruise (at the aptly named Next cruise) at 2:00pm today.

Oasis of the seas on Sept 11.  We will use our casino royale offer to help soften the blow.

We are now 'cruise people'.
