Emerald formerly the Crown? Where’s the old Emerald?

I cruised the Emerald in 2012 and loved her. Looking to book again but I see the Emerald was refurbished in 2019 but I also see several threads titled ‘the Emerald formerly the Crown’

so what’s up?

is the ‘old’ Emerald and old Crown gone and now they renamed the Emerald the Crown?

so confused please help.

The Emerald is alive and thriving.  What you are seeing is a cruise that was originally scheduled to be on the Crown that was moved over to the Emerald.

Correct... What you are seeing are the titles of various Roll Calls. We are on the Emerald in May, but it originally was the Crown.

And we booked for Alaska on the Emerald and were switched to the Crown!
