EllieinNJ Posted February 13, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2022 I have a 2023 cruise booked with the $600 OBC from a cancelled 2020 cruise. I see the price has come down and would like to re-price. Would I lose this $600? It is booked with a refundable deposit.
ladylikes2cruise Posted February 13, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2022 I didn’t. YMMV tho, definitely call and ask.
ngrund Posted February 13, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2022 The only changes to OBC should be if the new price included a different amount of OBC than the old price, The OBC from the cancelled cruise should remain-it did when I repriced recently, When I called I made sure with the rep that the $600 does not get affected, along with my purchased reservations and amounts paid
kandmsdad Posted February 13, 2022 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2022 I have have my price adjusted several times for two upcoming sailings without losing OBC. My March sailing was already paid in full. They gave me addional OBC for the amount of reduction.

Rare BlerkOne Posted February 13, 2022 #6 Share Posted February 13, 2022 It depends on the terms and conditions of the $600 OBC, especially if past the time when a cruise had to be booked. Ask Carnival WHAT IF.
Rare ontheweb Posted February 13, 2022 #7 Share Posted February 13, 2022 Another thing to look out for when you reprice is if you paid a reduced deposit, the new deposit required may be higher and the difference would be payable basically immediately. LakeWobegon Posted February 13, 2022 #8 Share Posted February 13, 2022 (edited) It depends as BlerkOne said. Better to call and ask or have your person who helps you with booking cruises do so. Edited February 13, 2022 by LakeWobegon
mz-s Posted February 14, 2022 #9 Share Posted February 14, 2022 I had my upcoming Sunshine booking re-priced because the price has dramatically dropped. I lost $200 in onboard credit that I had due to a Casino offer (which was no longer available for this sailing) but I kept the $300 I got from a cancelled sailing. So in my experience you will NOT lose the OBC you earned due to a cancelled cruise, that is a separate thing and will carry over. YMMV, assuming you booked with a PVP or TA I would certainly ask them before re-pricing the booking to make sure.
kelkel2 Posted February 14, 2022 #10 Share Posted February 14, 2022 It depends. If you book a rate that comes with $100 obc or something like they, yes you do. You also lose that if you move ships or dates etc. but if the obc is because of a cancelled covid cruise I don’t believe you would.
Kate.S Posted February 14, 2022 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2022 No you won't lose it and if the new price offers OBC that will be added to your total.
