For those who have cruised Apex

We r cruising during March Madness…so these are VERY important questions...😘

Does Craft Social show sporting events?

Are there video poker machines in Craft Social?

Is there a casino bar?

Is there a poker table in the casino (for TX Hold Em)—fair if no one noticed. Usually only players of the game notice!

I'll do my best ::

Yes, sporting events are on all day at Craft Social. When we were on, it was NFL playoff weekend. I bet the games will be on at the Rooftop Garden as well. Soccer and hockey were on as well.

 

I do not recall seeing any video poker at the bar, but I wasn't looking specifically for them. 

 

There is no casino bar, it was converted to Craft Social. Slots that are in the casino bar on Edge are now a very big screen TV.

 

I believe there is a Texas Hold Em table.

Just got off the Apex last week and agree with all of the above except for the poker table. Not saying it's wrong, just saying I didn't notice if it was there or not. I would be surprised if it wasn't...

 

Also, we watched the superbowl in the Club. It was excellent...you basically had your own private TV if you sat in a booth.

I think it was at the end of the casino, almost along the wall with Craft Social. It was inactive the times we were in there.

Agree with all the above.

 

I’ve been in apex twice and both times they had a single TX Holdem table.  A couple of days they had tournaments in the afternoon and then there were cash games going each night around 730 or 8 until past 1:00 AM.

Glad to hear they had tourneys--none were offered on the Edge.

We had a nightly cash game from 9-9:30 until about 2.

Tournaments are my preference, but I did play cash a couple nights...it was a pretty friendly crowd.

Just got off the Apex yesterday.  We watched tournament basketball games on the large screen in Craft Social.  Otherwise, they were mostly showing cricket.

1) Yes, but it is the same 4 channels in your room.  Expect a lot of Cricket.  It was Sports 24, ESPN Caribbean, another ESPN (but not a USA version) and RedBull Channel.  We had one channel; we got one Champions League game per day Tuesday and Wednesday and some NCAA games Thursday and Friday last week on Apex, but there was only one game on at a time on one channel.

4) Yes.  On sea days I want to say there were 3 or so games a day.  None on our port days I don't think (maybe one much later in night after we had entered international waters).  I didn't play, but I recall seeing them on the app activities page.  You can look in the app for the current sailings and see their activities so you can get an idea of the number of games.

We were in a SS during the Super Bowl.   The Butler prepared a large tray with cheeses, crackers, fruit,  shrimp, and basically a charcuterie board.  He also brought us wine and beer as we watched the game in our cabin.  
 

As others have said they show the same sport channels that you can get in your cabin.  
 

Craft Social is the sports bar.   It is more isolated from the casino than it was on the Edge.  
 

The Apex has 10 VP machines.  They can be harder to get than a chair at the Martini Bar. Especially when people are playing a quarter at a time on single play.   I think the problem is that they offer free drinks while playing and also have promotions awarding  casino credit if your machine is picked when you are playing.   On some nights they also give everyone $5 free play.

We happily watched games in Craft, the casino while playing poker & in our room last week.

The VP machines were NEVER full that I noticed & were quite profitable for us the last day!

My husband really wants to be able to watch some of the Masters golf tourney on the Apex. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
