Solo traveler-dining assignment?

Taking my first-ever solo cruise (normally travel with family).  What’s the current situation in the dining room. If I choose assigned dining, will I have dinner mates? Or is the dining room still following Covid restrictions, meaning I’d be seated alone.

 

Anyone know?

You'll probably get seated with other solos at that time.

If you have Your Time Dining, you can request to be seated at a shared table, otherwise you will be seated by yourself.

I don't know that Carnival ever seated individuals by themselves in the dining room, at least not for assigned dining times.  We've cruised  in September, November, December, and February and each time was at a table with other guests.  And every time at least one was a solo.

The first time I sailed solo I was seated with other singles at a large table for late dining.  I didn't like that and never went back after the first night.  I had met another solo diner at the casino bar who was on anytime dining and I switched and we dined together for the rest of the cruise.

 

My last 7 cruises were on Pride and I requested a solo table through Ken Byrne and had the same table on every cruise.  Perfect for me.

I am a solo cruiser and I was seated with other solo cruisers.

Basically,  it's whatever you want.

I always cruise solo, and it's whatever you want.  Sometimes I am open to sitting with others, sometimes I have less time and just want to dine solo.  You just let them know when you arrive and they take care of you 🙂
